I use it to back up large photo files. The USB 3.0 connection makes it pretty darn fast, noticeably faster than my older, USB 2.0 drives. Because I use a PC, it was truly plug-and-play with this device - that is, I simply attached the power cord and the USB cord and plugged them in and the drive immediately worked. It's kind of an ugly black box, but it does the job and does it well.

I use it to back up my photo files, which keep growing both in file size and number of files. With my PC, it's true plug-and-play device in that I simply attached the power cord and USB cord, fired it up, and my computer instantly recognized it. I don't know what would happen with a Mac. One would probably have to format it first. Be that as it may, the USB 3.0 connection definitely makes for faster copying. On the whole, I like it fine.

Use it to backup hundreds of large photo files and, so far, it is performing well. Because it's plugged into a PC, it was truly plug-and-play. I plugged in the power cord, connected the USB cord and it worked immediately.

Mainly use to back up my photo files. The USB 3.0 connection makes it work faster than my old drives with USB 2.0. It's truly plug-and-play - at least with a PC; don't know about Macs.

Set up easily. Wish it had a longer USB cord. Would buy it again.
