SureFire M79 Universal Clamp, Mounts Any Flashlight with 1.0" Diameter Housing to a Picatinny Rail

I use this mount to attach my Surefire 6P LED flashlight to my S&W M&P15 Rifle. Surefire did right by making the clamp polymer and the mount metal. If it were all metal, it would be too heavy. If it were all polymer, it have a shorter lifespan and be susceptible to damage from recoil after time. However with the just the right mix of both, they did a fantastic job. Turns my non-weapon light into a functional and tactical advantage. Only issue is it's a little on the heavy side(for a light mount). But, for being a light mount for the price, it is probably the best. Only thing I can see being an issue is some dissimilar metals touching in crucial spot, which COULD lead to corrosion, but the likelihood of that with proper care and maintenance of everything on your firearm is slim. Overall, well worth the money and with anything Surefire you really can't go wrong. Good luck.
