Questions & Answers

Gary E : Will this work with the Sigma MC-11 Sony emount adapter?
Shopper : Does this lens work with full frame cameras?STEVEN A : It will depend upon your choice of camera systems. But regardless your angle of view will only be in the APS-c format. This lens will not mount on a full frame Canon. Will probably mount on a full frame Nikon, the others I do not know. Best to check with Sigma.RONALD A : I use it with crop frame cameras, so I cannot say. I do like the lens very much though.SIMON T : It can work with a full frame body by adding a 1.4x converter. But that's not recommended. So the real answer is no.CHARLES B : Yes, I've shot the Sigma 10-20mm lens very successfully on my Canon Mk 3.. I have a 24X30" print on my wall I shot with the Sigma lens. It's terrific!ERIC S : Yes, but with a caveat. I use it with a Canon 70D at all focal lengths. When we tried it on a friend's new Canon 5D Mark III full frame, it was the equivalent of a 14 or 15 to 20. So if you need the full 10 mm range you'd have to try a lens designed for a full frame camera. That said the Sigma 10-20 has been a great lens, very sharp and virtually silent when making video. It's well worth the price.
Shopper : is this compatible with canon eos rebel t4i?ELLEN L : I have a Canon Rebel xsi and it works perfectly. It's a wonderful lens.PHILLIP K : I use this lens on my Canon EOS T3I and it works just fine. You just have to be careful about subjects to close to the side of the lens. It tends to warp them like a funhouse mirror. I use mine for wide open panoramas. This is a nice lens and does a great job for me.CHARLES R : I would assume so. I am using with T3i. Good lens. Only downside is that the diameter is too wide to accommodate any ring flash I can find.DANIEL H : Yes. It is compatable on any APS-C sensor camera, which is what yours is. I've used it on the T3 and the XSi cameras.MARK S : Don't know for sure. It works with my T2i but I'm not familiar enough with the T4i. (Seems like if it has the EOS designation that it would be compatible....)JACQUELINE W : It is great lens and it is compatible with the t4i

What I was looking for!

I was looking for a wide lens for a while now - I tried one from another brand in the past and I really liked the effect. When I saw the offer on this Sigma, and after reading the reviews here, it was a no brainer. I am a hobbyist photographer, who loves landscapes and astrophotography (first steps) I couldn't be happier. It works well with my Canon, it focuses quickly and the images are sharp. Both the focus and distance rings feel solid when in manual mode, which is good because I hate the feeling that I grazed the lens and moved something out of place. The bag that comes with is solid and sturdy, it also has a petal ring (is that the right name for it?) but I haven't found a use for it yet. If you are on the look for an affordable and high-quality lens, I think Sigma has your back and wallet.

Big bang for the buck

Have been researching this lens for a while for my D7500 and finally pulled the trigger. Glad I didn't wait any longer as the price doubled. Was a bit leary about it because of the lack of optical stabilization. After the first time out with it I have to say I am very impressed. This lens rocks ! Love the fixed aperture throughout the focal range and the build is very nice. Absolutely no regrets on this one

Very nice.

This lens gets it done. Nice sharp snaps at the widest 10mm a little softer at the 20mm end but still quite good. It's going to make a wonderful addition to my lenses for landscape shots. Just in time for a big vacation trip out east.

Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM

This is an amazing lens and it completes my glass lineup from 10MM to 600MM. Both ends being Sigma lenses. I was amazed by the wide field of view and new creative opportunities that it opens up.

Gives the wide range I needed

Even though I was considering the Pentax 15mm limited, mostly for it’s light weight and portability, I chose to buy the 10-20mm. I was not disappointed. It’s much heavier and larger than I expected, so the 15 may still be in my future when I want to travel more compactly, but this lens gives me the range I wished for. Automatic focus has been fast and accurate. While I’ve only played with the manual focus option so far, the ease in which it works is greatly appreciated. It leaves no guesswork, letting you know when focus has been achieved.

Big Bang for Small Buck

This is an amazing lens for a fraction of the cost. I originally purchased a Nikon 30mm 1.8 f couldn't get the content that I needed using a cropped sensor D5600. Using this lens on 10mm I'm able to pull the room into frame and get every shot I need. You won't go wrong with Sigma.

Great lens for a fraction of the price

Found this AFTER I had purchased the Nikon 30mm 1.8f for over twice the price. Using a a crop sensor for real estate photography, I was still not getting the depth I needed so I purchased the Sigma and gave it a shot. What a great decision that was. I sent the Nikon back to Amazon and got my money back because this lens is amazing. I have no complaint's at all and I can pull small rooms in to the lens with no trouble at all. you will not go wrong with sigma.

The images are very sharp.

I bought this lens for a trip to the Grand Canyon and it fit the need. I've thought of trading it in since I didn't see much use in the future. However, I just came back from Italy and wish I had brought it with me for the Colusseum, the Ruins of Pompeii, etc. My 18-200mm didn't really capture as much as I would have liked. The images are very sharp.

Excellent wide angle lens especially for the price!

This an excellent wide angle lens, it has very minimal color fringing and is a very sharp overall lens. There is a little distortion at the edges when used at the 10-12mm range but there is surprising little in the 15-20mm range. I got several excellent street portrait shots using the 20mm zoom. You really can't go wrong with this lens for the price especially since the price has now been reduced.

My new Sigma 10-20 f3.5 is doing well.

I recently purchased this lens for an upcoming trip to the Canadian Rockies in hopes of being able to take some wide-angle pictures of the beautiful scenery. Ive conducted some tests and the lens performs very well so far. It's a very well build lens and with an f3.5 aperture that gives you some excellent quality. The price for the lens was very good for the quality of the lens with only some minor softness around the edges. I think it will do an excellent job in Canada for my trip.

Decent

Nice wide angle lens, but don't expect too much sharpness or detail from the photos. It's a good lens, but I wouldn't say the images wow you. Granted, if you really need sharp, detailed, wide photos, upgrade to a full-frame.

Great lens at a great price.

I love this lens. It shoots great architecture shots and with no noticeable distortion. This lense was on sale and less than half the price of the Nikor lens. It is an amazing value.

The sigma 10-20 mm zoom - great all-around lens

I just got the sigma lens, and find it very versatile for landscape, city, and closeup pictures. It has no noticeable distortion , in spite of the extreme wide angle performance. It will be my walk-around lens, together with my Pentax 18-280 mm zoom lens.

Wanted an ultra wide lense

Wanted a lens that would be compatible with both my Nikon D50 and D3100. This lense really fills the bill. Realized I was really missing out last spring on a trip to Arches and Capital Reef National Parks. This is my go to for landscape photography now.

Just what I Need, sometimes

I have recently changed over to to Canon cameras and was in need of an ultra wide angle and could't pass on this deal. The lens is as advertised sharp and fast and while I haven't used it a lot I am very happy with the results. I Love Sigma Lens.

A nice surprise.

Easy to use right out of the box. When shooting interiors lines remained crisp and straight. A great bargain for the price. I match it with a D7100 and everything just works.

Highly recommended!

Great lens. A 10mm zoom aps-c lens is a rare find. Therefore it’s few problems can be excused and worked around. It is sharp, especially at f5.6, f8, and f11. It is very acceptable at f3.5 and f4. It has some strange wavy distortions near the edges at the wider focal lengths of the zoom. It is not noticeable in an outdoors natural setting. With a straight line pattern near the edges, it is. Vignetting at the wider apertures is noticeable. I like that this lens allows manual focusing touch-up after the autofocus has been engaged without moving the AF/MF switch back and forth. My main complaint is that it is hard to turn the adjustment ring on a polarizer or graduated ND filter with the hood attached. When using an ultrawide lens there are lessons that need to be learned such as straight line and horizon placement, polarizer use, and field curvature understanding . These are not lens failures, but rather expected, unavoidable lens behaviors. I would recommend this to a friend and buy another for myself!

surprisingly good

By KEVIN W.

I purchased this lens when I had to send my Nikon 14-24mm lens in for repairs, and had a few important shoots coming up. I planned to sell it once the 14-24 was returned. I hastily tested it, finding it to be soft in the corners and soft wide open - an above average lens but not nearly as good as my beloved 14-24. One of my important shoots was the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk - I won my walk's competition with an image from this lens, at 10mm. Color me impressed! I'm so impressed, I'm k...
