Frank M : will the Sigma 1.4x EX DG APO Tele-Converter AF for Canon EOS Cameras fit my Canon T3(1100D) and Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens?PHILLIP K : Yes. Just specify that you want it for the Canon EOS. I have the 1.4 and the 2X converters. All my lenses are Sigma and they work fine.DANNY S : Yes, all the Canon digital cameras have the same mount.
Shopper : I have aSigma lense 150 500 and a canon eos camera. Can I use aSigma 1.4x EX DG APO Tele-Converter with the lense and camera? Thank you loriTIMOTHY J H : I believe that you will be able to use it, but the auto-focus will not function when the 1.4x tele-converter is used. I am using it with a Sigma 120-400, on a Canon T2i... It works great, but no auto-focus (no big deal for me since I have found that I always shot with manual focus with a long lens. Hope this was helpful.REMO F : I have same set up and you can use the Sigma 1.4 converter with the Sigma 150-500mm lens on your Canon Camera, but you will have to manually focus. Auto focus does not work with this combination.KEN K : I have a Sigma 150 - 500mm Sigma lens and I use the Sigma 1.4 EX DG APO tele-converter AF. Just make sure you order the converter for the Canon mount and it will work fine!RAYMOND H : yes you can use the sigma 1.4 with the 150-500mm lens. I use this on bith the canon 20D and 5D. you can only use manual focus - auto will not work. I have great shoots.JASON T : I dont believe so - i think the suto focus wouldn't work, but if you did it manually, that it might
Shopper : Will this work on a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM?KEN K : While I don't have the specific lens mentioned, I don't believe this converter will fit. I several other Canon lenses, and it doesn't work with any of them. Even if it does, you should stick with converters made by the lens maker, i.e. Sigma converter for Sigma lens, Canon converters for Canon Lens. I'm sharing this from experience. I bought converters made by one maker and used it on a different lens. You will see a difference. This Sigma converter is a fine converter, but I only use it with my Sigma lens.

I recommend the converter for use with canon lenses.

It worked great on pictures I took of an Osprey nest that I've been watching. Even without the automatic focusing.

Great build quality

Haven't had enough light to use yet (sweet spot for this 1.4X teleconverter is f/11-f/14). The build quality is excellent though!!!

Great teleconverter

This teleconverter is worth it's money. I used it with the sigma 180mm f2.8 macro OS. Autofocus and image stabilizer work fine. Can also be combined with older non-CPU lenses to extend their tele range and seems to work ok in terms of image quality and automatic exposure on the d810.

Works great, even with LA-EA3/A6300 and LA-EA4/A6000

I have Sigma APO70-200 F2.8EX DG HSM and APO150-500 F5-6.3 DG HSM lenses. The 70-200 worked very well with the teleconverter and the A6300/LA-EA3 or A6000/LA-EA4, including autofocus. The 150-500 worked with the A6300/LA-EA3 or A6000/LA-EA4, but only in Manual Focus. Based on info on Sigma's web site (http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lens-resources/teleconverter-compatibility), I wasn't sure that the lens/teleconverter/E-mount converter combo would work. I am pleased to report that it does work fully with the 20-200, and in Manual Focus mode with the 150-500. Sigma says explicitly (in a private e-mail) that the MC-11/TC-1401/150-600 will not work together. My experience with my setup suggests there are no technical impediments to making the combo work, if they chose to do so.

Does what's suppose to do.

It works nicesly with my Nikon D7100 and my Nikor 300mm F/4 lens. Works with autofocus, takes a little bit more time than without the TC, but does the job.

Extend your focal length with great IQ

This TC is compact, very similar to my Nikon TC of the same magnification. So it can fit on the lens and be left there if desired and it doesn't really add much to it in terms of weight or length but it adds a lot in terms of focal length and image quality. I cannot tell a difference in using it and using my 120-300 Sport in "native" mode without the TC. I have a 168-420 f/4 zoom with the same IQ as the 120-300 2.8. Wow. Thats with a D800; with my D7100 and the APS-C crop factor its pure bonus. Solidly built, good looking item giving up nothing but a stop.

Maybe with Sigma lenses

When I bought this and originaly got it I had a Sigma 100-300mm lens, everthing was peachy. But the Sigma 100-300 turned oud to be a bad copy. I bought a Nikkor 300mm AFS f/4. Now the problem is the Sigma TE was not talking to my D600 body properly, I could not tell when I was using the TE or not in the EXIF data. Optically it seemed quite good, mechanically (mounting fit) seemed very good as well.

Nice for the price!

Originally purchased to use on a Sigma 100-300 f/4. That didn't work out as that lens turned out to be a very poor copy of a lens which was considered very very good by many. I have used it on my Sigma 150mm f2.8 Macro and it works very well there. Now I'm waiting for a new Nikkor 300 f/4, so the 4 star rating is because I figure that pairing is how I will know how good this TE is optically. In all other ways this is a well built piece of equipment.

very good for Sigma lens on Nikon

I've got a generic Kenko TC but the camera doesn't see the change in aperture or focal length. This works perfectly well on my two Sigma telephoto lenses.

Bargain

I use the Sigma 1.4 tele-converter with a Nikon 70-300mm VR, f4.5-5.6. Since it reduces the amount of light autofocus is not dependable past 200mm. This is not a complaint, just the way it works with a small aperture lens. The tele-converter will not mate physically with my Nikon 16-85 VR or my Nikon 50mm, f1.8. I have tried the tc on my Sigma 150-500mm but the clarity became too poor to be useful. Bottom line, the Sigma 1.4 tele-converter does what it is supposed to do at a very nice price.

Love it! But it's made for Sigma Lenses

Typical of the better Sigma lenses, this teleconverter does its job extremely well. As indicated though, it is designed to be used with Sigma lenses. I use it consistently with their 100-300 zoom for wildlife and it allows auto focus with my Minolta. I would have preferred that it work with all my lenses but after using it once in the field, I was hooked.
