I like to do low light and long exposure photography so I dont think this lens would fit me since everyone said that it's not good at low light.....WAYNE G : I used this lens on my 60d as my carry-around lens. That is to say this was the lens that I kept on my camera when I was out with no real subject in mind. My wife and I spent 10 days at Cape Cod last summer and except for some low-light night time photos this was the lens I used 85% of the time we were there. I'd definitely recommend it or purchase it again. Not a tack sharp lens and not real great in low light situations but you won't find that in any lens with focal range. -Wayne

I assume Canon has uses the exact same Mounts for the EOS line.STEPHEN M : I am sorry , I cannot tell you if this works with a Rebel XTI.. I use this with a Canon 30D I use working for a newspaper. It is the best lens I have ever purchased for clarity, speed, and proper functions with the camera's programs in this price range. Great single lens solution

It covers a lot of lenses. Its not perfect for everything but is the best all around zoom I have ever used in 30 plus years. It stops my familiy complaining about tripods and changing lenses on vacation.

GREAT ZOOM

This lens is wonderful. I bought it to replace my 55 mm standard lens. I never take it off my camera now. I use it for everything from portraits to nature. I am not as happy with the extreme closeups but otherwise it is fantastic. I will still invest in a macro lens for the close-up nature photos

Excellent value for money

I use the Canon series of bodies and have a few L series lenses. I bought this lens as a backup for my assistant to use however I tried it out in an emergency and was extremely impressed. This is a proper lens. Very sharp and produces excellent saturation of colours especially at night. I am about to buy another one actually.

Excellent lens for the price

I bought this lens for my Rebel XTi last month and have shot nearly 1500 photos with this lens. I'm amazed by the results ... Ultra sharp and beautiful colors. Exceptional lens with a great a range - wide angle to moderate telephotos.

Very Versatile

I accidently dropped my camera with this lens attached onto concrete during my first outing. The protective haze filter I purchased with the lens cracked, but I cannot find anything wrong with the lens function and optics.

This high zoom ratio lens is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras and capable of covering a wide range of focal lengths from wide-angle to telephoto. Two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements and two hybrid aspherical lensesoffer the utmost correction for all types of aberrations, and enables this extended range super zoom lens to be housed in a compact and lightweight construction of 70mm (2.8") diameter, and 78.1mm (3.1") in length, and weighing just 405g/14.3oz. The new lens coating reduces flare and ghost, which is a common problem of digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7") at all focal lengths and has maximum magnification of 1:4.4.

The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system, which prevents the front of the lens from rotating, making it particularly suitable for using circular polarizing filters and petal shaped lens hoods. The overall length of the lens does not change during focusing, ensuring convenient handling and ease of use. Azoom lock switch eliminates 'zoom creep' during transportation, a convenient addition when traveling.
