I would buy this product again

I am very pleased with the entire performance of this tele converter. I works seemlessly and effortlessly with my Sigma lens and Nikon camera. The price is right, too.

Didn't work with my lens

I must admit I read other reviews that said it didn't work for them but for the price I had to try. I wanted it to pair with my nikon 70-200 2.8 but the auto focus wouldn't work. I returned it right away and received credit.

GREAT RETURN POLICY

By

from Oklahoma  -  Photo Enthusiast

Through my own boneheaded fault, I ordered this TC which does not fit my camera. After returning the TC, a full credit of my purchase price was issued, no hassles. Everything in life ought to be this easy. Just wanted to add this comment in praise of Adorama.

Works Great with Sigma 150-500mm APO OS

By

from SE Louisiana  -  Photo Enthusiast

I shoot wildlife from a boat so I need lots of reach an with this Sigma 2x EX APO teleconverter on my Nikon D7100 and the Sigma 150-500mm lens I can get it, will be getting the 50-150mm 2.8 to go with it also. It communicates with the camera as intended, no problems with exposure or shooting. It does not have the white the dots to line up when installing to camera it's a little cumbersome to put on camera, Manual focus does not work on the Sigma 150-500mm lens.

Better than expected results

By

from Greater Chicago Area.  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I bought this to use with a Sigma 120-300 Sport since there are some fit issues with using that lens and my Nikon 2x TC. No big deal, if it works out fine - if not I return it. Well, I have a 240-600 f/5.6 zoom with much better than expected image quality. Its not as good as what the 1.4xTC produces but its more than usable. AF is slower by a bit.Perhaps my speed bump on the lens using the USB dock will make it better but its not bad now. It adds length and make the whole package a bit much to balance so I use a sidekick gimbal and that helps. Overall worth it. Unless you just have to have the best IQ for 600mm....if thats the case Adorama has operators waiting.

Saved the cost of more exspensive lens

By

from Huntsville, Al  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought this a while back and finally got around to using it for wildlife. It works great on my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 APO on a D800 and works even better in DX mode giving aprox a 600mm crop, but a smaller image. It works so well I am considering stacking it or a 1.4X to see it can keep me from buying a more expensive lens for now. And yes, you do lose some stops, but I have found a sturdy tripod can make up for the loss. The picture below is a cropped image in Lightroom.

I use Sigma 2x teleconverter with a 120-300mm f2.8 lens to give me extra reach. The 600mm is just what I need to give me great shots of wildlife.
