It is light and very sharp. F2.8 is not as fast but for the price and weight this lens is well worth it. Ideal for travel/hiking etc.

This lens was iffy to use. Too blurry, couldn’t get it to focus no matter what settings I tried on my camera. Heard great things about this lens but was let down.

I’ve been using the Sigma 19mm for some time now and really like the wide angle it provides. I needed a lens with a little more reach and found the Sigma 60mm was just what I needed. The photos are really sharp and the colors are beautiful. If your looking for a 60 mm at a great price this is the lens for you.

I have been a DSLR shooter and purchased a Sony NEX 7 try out mirrorless cameras. Don't want to spend a lot of $$ yet, so tried this out. I think will also look at the other Sigma Art lenses.

I bought it for sony a6000. 3 days free shipping and I like the exposure, colors and nice art bokeh.

Perfect "walk-around" lens for my A6000 Sony. Sharpness and build appearance way beyond its price point.

One of my favorite primes when I want a light, portable kit for a brief outing with the family or whenever. The lens keeps the size of my camera small and easy to keep with me on my person or in my backpack. The quality of the pictures are amazing. It still astonishes me how sharp the images are for such a bargain price. I would recommend this lens to anyone who wants a small, sharp prime. The only con would be the clunking sound you hear when shaking the camera with the camera off. If the camera is on and you shake the camera, you do not hear the clunking sound. But who goes around shaking their camera? It's like something gets engaged when the camera is on so that it locks whatever it is in place when the camera is on, and disengages it when the camera is off so you hear the clunking when you shake your camera. It's a minor con, and I don't even notice unless I'm trying to listen for it. However, the quality of the pictures more than makes up for it in spades! Highly recommended.

I couldn't be happier with this inexpensive little lens. I primarily use it for landscape/lifestyle types of shots and have been super impressed. It's lightweight, super clear and a vast improvement over the Sony Kit Lens. I'll definitely be buying more Sigma's at this point.

After five decades making my living hauling around bags and cases of heavy photo gear, I switched in November to Sony's A6000 camera, which given it's size and price tag does everything I now need in retirement. I've been satisfied with the kit lens results, but wanted a "walk-around" lens with a wider maximum aperture. The Sigma 30mm (equiv. to 45mm full frame) is amazing at its price point: well made, complete with lens hood, quick and accurate auto-focus and very sharp. Highly recommended!

A very sharp lens and great match on my Sony a6000. The added bundle that came with it was a wonderful and valuable bonus!

This is a great lens for my Sony a6000. It is sharp and reasonably priced. It is ideal for street photography and a great walk around lens. It is equivalent to 45 mm on a cropped sensor.

This is my first Sigma lens and I needed a budget fast prime lens and this fit the bill. I have this mounted on my NEX-6 (I am using this in place of the 16-50 power zoom kit lens), and this lens has performed great. The price was great too. I am actually pretty impressed by this Sigma lens. Honestly, all my other lens have either been Nikon or Sony; this is is the first time I've bought a 3rd party lens, and for this price and performance, it is a no brainer.

Images not as sharp as expected. Also the lens rattles as if something is loose inside. Not sure if I will keep it.

I just bought this lens to take on a trip to take both landscape and event pictures. It is very sharp. I also liked the size and weight of the lens as a carry around lens.

I took the Sony A6000 and my new sigma lens to the annual rodeo parade today. Set the aperture to f/9. It was a bright clear day. I got hundreds of crisp colorful pictures standing beside the parade route with no fiddling at all. I didn't even need to change the focus very often except when shooting at a different angle. I have blown up a few of the photos and they are really crisp. I would have been a little happier if the lens had oss but for the price of the lens I feel that I got more than my money's worth.

I did alot of research on this lens and it lived up to expectations. However, I made a mistake and thought 30mm cropped is wide enough for me but turns out it isn't. I need to get the 19mm now...sigh.

Added this lens to my collection for my micro 4/3 system camera (Panasonic G7) - very pleased with the lens - very sharp and contrasty- have used quite a bit at max aperture- center sharpness is excellent with very little fall at the edges. Very useful focal length as well - if you are partial to shooting with prime lenses this is one to seriously consider.

Am not new to photography, but am new to digital. Wasn't sure my Minolta X700 and Pentax K1000 loving self would be as impressed as all the pixel peepers out there flaming each other over absurd crops. I was. If you're shooting with the kit 16-50 on a Sony A6000, buying this lens is basically like buying a new camera, but for the price of, well, a Minolta X700. Forget pushing to the phone or even the laptop: you can see a night-and-day difference chimping. After my third or fourth click with this lens, I said out loud to myself, "Oh, it wasn't me." Improved sharpness, contrast, bokeh, and saturation. And while the kit is an f/3.5 at 16mm, that drops to 5.0 by 30 mm: you're getting almost two full stops at the equivalent focal length. Two qualms only: Wish the included hood clicked-in more reassuringly, and would love some on-board image stabilization. Can't complain about the latter given the price, tho. The much-derided kit lens is still useful for its flexibility, but if you haven't purchased your A6000 yet and don't shoot much wide angle, you might consider buying the body alone and pairing this as your walk-around with the Sony 55-210 for portraiture, wildlife, sports, etc.

I use this lens on the good old NEX7. Images are sharp, beautiful color .. really can't go wrong. It's equivalent to a 45mm on a Full Frame camera which makes it a decent walk around lens. I also have the 60mm.. which is also fantastic.

I shoot with Olympus OMD cameras, and, have a fairly large selection of lenses. I like this lense, 30mm on the micro 4/3 format is just a little longer than "normal", if by normal you mean a 50mm equivalent on 35mm SLRs, and is within the range of the excellent 14-42mm f3.5-f5.6 zoom kit lens, however, the Sigma 30mm is a full stop faster at 30mm than the kit lens. And, at the sale price, along with the bundled extras, was an excellent value. Pros: Very nice handling Fast focus Excellent sharpness, contrast, no noticeable distortion. Integrates smoothly and completely with my Olympus OMD cameras. Cons: Lens hood could fit a little more snug, other than that, this lens rocks! Final thoughts: You can spend a lot more buying the Olympus 25mm prime, and, gain an extra stop, but, at almost 1/3 the cost of the Oly lens, this is a bargain for a very small, lightweight functional lens.

This high-performance standard lens is designed exclusively for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras.
Two glass mold aspherical lenses, including a double-sided aspherical lens, provide excellent correction for all types of aberration. The inner focusing system corrects the fluctuation of aberration to maintain image quality regardless of the focal distance.
Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting as well as provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum aperture. The superior telecentric optical design improves the image quality throughout the frame. The optical design also allows the lens to be compact and lightweight. This lens benefits from a newly developed linear AF motor which moves the lens elements directly without the need for gears or the drive of other mechanical parts. This system ensures accurate and quiet autofocusing, making the lens suitable for video recording as well as still photos.
The lens features a rounded 7 blade diaphragm creating an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image. This Sigma 30mm F2.8 EX DN has a minimum focusing distance of 30cm/11.8in and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:8.1.
