Shopper : Does this filter have front thread for snap-on lens cap?BO D : Yes, it does.RICHARD B : Yes. It has a threaded lip for a snap-on lens cap or for mounting additional filters such as a circular polarizer, although if the stack is too tall, there could be some vignetting on the corners at wide angle. I'm using this filter on my Lumix FZ100 and the Lumix lens cap snaps in perfectly. Jack D : I want to use this on a Panasonic FZ150. Why does is specify "Wide Angle"? Will this interfere with the lens hood?THOMAS W : Hi, I bought it for FZ40 (24 times zooms) whichis very similar FZ150. This protector has no problem as it just screw on. drtweiDAVE V : It simply means that the frame is fairly thin. Some filters with thicker frames can cause vignetting when the camera is shooting a wide angle shot, and this one should not. I use mine with a Panasonic DMC-FZ100, and it works fine. Just don't stack filters - that can result in vignetting regardless of the filters you're using (i.e. adding a circular polarizing filter on top of the UV).DARREN E : Not sure why they call it wide angle but I use this on a Canon 50mm f/1.8 and the lens hood fits just fine.LOU N : I use this on a DA18-55WR Pentax rotated between a Pentax K-5/K-7. Never had a problem with the lens hood sliding over the filter or with the 18mm wide group photos. Rim seems to be shallow but holds lens cap firmly.GREG S : I use it on a 14mm lens (wide but there are wider) if that helps without any problems. The threads for the lens hood are on the outside of the lens on my G2 and there is no interference. I don't know your camera but it is probably similar. ROB K : Not in the least. I put on the filter, then the hood and haven't given it a second thought since. Love the fact that my lens is protected by having this filter in place.CHARLES D S : Hi Jack, You can use this filter on a wide angles without any image cutoff. It should not interfere with you lens hood as long as it will screw into the 52mm filter.

Digitally Optimized (DG) Filters
Ex DG filters benefit from Sigma's multi-layer lens coating, developed to counteract the highly reflective characteristic of image sensors. With older style filters, light would reflect off the image sensor, bounce off the lens and filter elements and re-enter the image sensor, creating a ghost image. The multi-layer coating dramatically reduces this effect. In addition to this, an optimum, neutral color balance is ensured, increasing the white balance accuracy of the digital camera.
