Very decent except

By

from Knoxville, TN  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

It is a nice hood except do not buy this if you have the 18-200mm lens with the 72mm filter size. It will not fit those lenses.

does not fit the older Sigma 18-250

By

from Beaverton, OR  -  Professional

This lens hood fits the new Sigma 18-250 lens that has the 62mm filter size. It does not fit the year-old Sigma 18-250 that has the 72mm filter size.

Needed product to replace broken one. This one didn't fit lens. This was the only hood offered for this Sigma. Returned and still waiting for a response .

3rd time is the charm, I HOPE!

By

from Canyon Lake TX  -  Semi-Professional

In order to fit the camera & lens in my bag with another camera & lens, I turn the lens hoods around until needed. The 1st one went over a cliff, the 2nd rolled down the river bank into the water. So hopefully this one will stay with me. The lock position/click could be a little stiffer to keep from bumping it loose so it could fall off. Other than that it fits perfectly.

This hood does NOT fit the 24-70. It is several millimeters too small.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this a matt version lens hood with no continuous carving near the lens side edge?
PHILIPPE G  It is kind of matte without carving .The solution is to tape Gaffer tape to prevent any reflections. However, the most important fact is that this lens hood does not fit the Sigma 17-70 2:8-4 DC. So instead of sending it back I carved the base of the lens hood to make it fit the lens with additional gaffer tape to secure it. Never lost the original lens hood, that is the lesson.
Mattia B  Will this lens hood fit my Sigma 17-70 mm-F/2.8-4 (C) DC MACRO OS HSM -AF, for CANON lens?
MARK B  Hi, If the hood is 72mm it should fit. The lens requires a 72mm filter. Have a great day!
Terry K  Will this lens hood fit my new Sigma DC 17-70 2.8-4.0 Macro for Nikon lens? If not which lens hood model that you carry will?
AMY P  This is the Lens hood I bought to replace the one I lost for my Sigma DC 17-70 2.8-4.0 Macro. It fits prefect! Hope this helps!
