About Sekonic L-208

The Sekonic L-208 compact incident/reflected light meter is small and stylish. It is ideal for the beginning or advanced amateur photographer and is perfect as a backup meter.

The Sekonic L-208 is the smallest light meter to combine incident and reflected light measurement, and has been carefully designed to provide simple, one-handed operation. The printed digits are large and have been color coded for easy recognition of all readings.

The L-208 also features a convenient accessory mounting shoe to attach the meter to the accessory flash shoe of many cameras, making the meter accessible and handily positioned for metering most subjects from the camera position.

Utilizing a lithium CR2032 battery, the Sekonic L-208 has increased operation time and fewer battery changes. Also featured on this meter is a battery check button to monitor battery voltage.

A sharp 33°-angle measurement with guide in reflected mode provides decisive means for choosing values to measure in comparison to most economical meters with a wider reflective measuring angle.

A "Hold and Read" function grabs and maintains the current reading for 15 seconds after release of the measurement button, making more time for evaluation of the scene.

Works better than I expected!

I actually had my eye on Model # L-358 but decided to give this one a try for less than half the cost. When I tried it, It worked well! It worked even better than I expected it would. It is very accurate for a analog meter. It does not have a flash function, but I don't need that at this time. If you are on the fence about this meter, don't worry, it works well!

compact but readings are not consistant

Very small, compact and lightweight. Real pocket-size meter, but readings are not always consistant. Better than nothing, but I would not use it for very critical work.

Great meter at a value price

By

from Reston, VA  -  Photo Enthusiast

I was looking for a good-quality small meter to use with my Yashica Mat 124G, because the built-in meter is not always very accurate. The Sekonic L-208 turned out to be the perfect solution, at a reasonable price.

Sekonic L-208 Twinmaster

By

from Sonoma  -  Pro Photographer

I was looking for something that had a shoe mount that would fit on some an old rolli as well as an old bronica, that would not be to digital, as I wanted to get exposures that would be very old school yet would be accurate enough to allow me to use for a variety of small projects with other cameras..this fit the bill.

Simple, compact, almost perfect

By

from Seattle  -  Pro Photographer

I use this with my M4 and Mamiya 6 while doing street photography. It perfect except that the ISO setting can slip if not careful. Too bad Sekonic didn't make it locking.

"Have more fun in or out of bed"

By

from Albuquerque, NM  -  Semi-Professional

The Seconic L-208 is compact, accurate, light, and easy to use. And it's sensitive enough for most applications. Perfect for those photographers who like to do things the old-fashioned way - by taking their own exposere readings. Or those who love using those wonderful, classic, meterless 35mm and medium format cameras.
