I have no complaints with this tripod. I used it once this past weekend with no faults. Would definitely purchase again. My last Slick lasted 35 years. Might be a while before I have to buy another.

First impressions . Very solid and sturdy . Like the multi-angle legs and big range of heights , gets a tad lower and taller than our u-8000 while being way more sturdy. . The two make a great pair , looking forward to some long exposure milky way shots using the 580 DX pro . Only weakness we can see so far is the twist lock ring for the pan head. I guess more use and we'll get better at remembering the 2 steps for tightening the ring and using the pan knob to pan. Yes I would recommend this tripod.

The mechanism that keeps the head from rotating broke almost exactly two years after I purchased it new. I gave a review then that is listed above. It did get a lot of use and the leg clamps were getting loose and then finally, the mechanism that keeps the head from rotating just broke. This is fine for a first tripod or something that will not get heavy use but bottom line is that the Manfrotto that is similarly priced is better built.

For the price, this is a tripod that performs very well. It does not compete with tripods twice it's price, but for what you pay, you get a solid product that works well. I have lugged this tripod all over and haven't had any problems with it. The only complaint that I have is that it is a bit heavy after carrying it around for hours, but I didn't expect otherwise.

A very well made product, Strong construction and very versital. I couldn't ask for any better. If your even considering purchasing this product dont hesitate it is a very well made tripod.
