I also think this is great, I use on FPV drone with heavy cinema cam (bmpcc6k, Sony fx30) and it works great!! I have 3..tried and tested

I disagree, it's good

I've had one on my heavy 7d rig (heavy lens and matte box mounted on lens for over a year with mid-heavy usage and it's been great. Maybe the other reviewer got a bad unit?

This release sucks

This clamp starts out slightly loose, and rapidly gets worse. One must continually tighten the screw on the release arm, to get any stability at all. This screw soon strips out, and the release falls apart. This release will not securely hold your camera. Buy something else.

The Slik DQ-L Quick Release Assembly provides a quick release solution to tripod heads missing a built-in quick release system and is designed for use with pro SLR or medium format cameras.

Made out of magnesium alloy, it is lightweight yet still durable. It features a double locking mechanism. The adapter features 1/4-20" tripod head and camera connections and comes supplied with the larger DQ-L quick release plate
