MY U-212 TRIPOD IN GREAT SHAPE
After losing my Stik quick release post for my U-212 tripod several years ago, I kept it in the closit and finally ran across it, the tripod, and decided to put it back to work again. The tripod was and still is in great shape, and now I am very happy I kept it.

Slik Quick Release
Very handy quick release. Screws into bottom of camera where it can remain. Drops into tripod, flip locking lever, and I'm good to go!

I can use my tripod again!
After spending more than an hour looking for the missing piece, I was pleased to find this replacement part available for a tripod I’ve used for decades. The tripod’s no use without it. The same part is available at the same price directly from the manufacturer, but Adorama’s shipping charge was lower. The package arrived within the projected time, as promised.

Does what it should,for a unique tripod
I found a slik tripod at a flea market, but it did not have the quick release post,I like the sturdiness of the slik tripod and the tiny size of the release post,the down side is its easy to misplace

Excellent Quality
I have had a Slik Universal 212 Deluxe for better than 16 years and find it to be a very stable and reliable tripod. I like the fact that the head can be removed from the top of the column and placed on an attachment point on either one of the legs or the bottom end of the column. This makes it good for getting down low to the ground.
As I am 6'2" the column extends to a comfortable height for me to use.
The only drawback to it is that at six (6) pounds, it is rather heavy, so carrying it around in the field can be a bit tiring.
