This is a tiny, cheap and sturdy little tripod. For the money. why didn’t I know about this thing?

Good lightweight tripod for this price range. I felt more comfortable replacing the included ball head\plate with a slightly more sturdy one, but it's not necessary.

In buying this tripod, it is important to know why you are buying it. If you want to use it for macro work and to travel with, it works wonderfully and at great price. Like all new pieces of equipment, it takes some getting used but it is well worth the effort. It is not a heavy-duty tripod to be used for landscape work, but if you use it for what it is designed for, you will be pleased.

This head is decent for small cameras with buildin lens or tiny action cams. For anything bigger, you'll want something else that can hold more weight and more durable.

Really enjoying this item.. for the price wasn't sure how durable it would be. For the price, you can't beat it

I am quite impressed with the tripod, very light, and works great for mirrorless cameras that are under 3lbs, very easy to carry, and very stable, but I would not put anything bigger than a sony 6500 on it, as it could tip over and crash your equipment.

This performs like you would expect. It holds the camera. It folds up fairly compact. It has a quick release. So far everything works the way it should. This is the first SLR tripod I've ever bought and I can't help feel a little disappointed. I feel like I spent a lot of money for a very basic support. Also, coming from a video background the ball head feels awkward. With a video head you can position the camera with one hand, leaving one free for other tasks. Here you have to use both hands. One to hold the camera while you tighten it up with the other.

This is a very lightweight tripod and it is very good quality (metal) with nice cushion grips. It is much better than similarly priced tripods. It has a ball head which is kind of mediocre but works fine, but I can't expect more at this price. I think this is a very good value for money tripod which can accompany you without being a burden at hiking/sightseeing and similar activities (maybe when you're on a bike too, I haven't tried though). It is generally small but it is satisfactory and if you are looking for a quite tall tripod maybe you should look at the Pro series which aren't much more expensive. Overall I think it is the perfect travel companion for lightweight kits and its weight is extremely low. (which is what I do mostly with many hours of walking so I can't carry a heavier one). The quick locks on the tripod's legs make everything easier too and most cheap tripods don't have them.

This was purchased as a companion for my Slik two-axis macro adjust unit since my large Slik tripod cannot get low enough for macro shots. In addition, it is useful for light travel, but needs to be placed on a flat surface for that application. This was the best for the size and price I found, and I always like Slik tripods; my first was an 800G.

I was looking for something small but stable to accomodate my recently purchased Canon G1X. I do own full size tripods but wanted something that would be as portable as the G1X camera. I've owned slik Tripods in the past and they are a pretty decent tripod for the money. Actually the first tripod I owned was a Slik. It served me well for a few years. The convertible center column was a huge plus for me. It allows you to get almost to ground level for those different angle shots. The only drawback I could find was that it was to short for doing certain portrait work but works well with anything else. Any tripod is better than no tripod so for the size and price of this tripod it is a great bargain.

First of all, let me say that I am a SLIK fan. Given that, I needed a small desktop tripod to take macros with at work. I chose the Mini II and it really fit the bill. As always, the head clamps are nice and tight with positive feel. Once I set the angle of the camera, it does't move at all. I am using this with my travel cameras only (Nikon S8200 and P510) and not a heavier DSLR. All in all, a very fine desktop tripod. I threw my other one away after getting the SLIK.

I have an extensive tripod collection - everything from the heavyweight monsters to table-top units. I had to search extensively to find a solid tripod that was larger and more capable than a table-top tripod. Most were too large, too small, or too flimsy. This tripod is small enough for carry anywhere, yet it is solid enough to support a substantial SLR camera with a fairly large lens. Very few tripods address this need.

Good construction, but I returned this item. Can't handle a 5D with battery grip.

Even though this tripod is small, it has all the pro features that any tripod has. I use it with a Nikon D300 with a double grip and it works fine. It's very stable on solid ground. It folds up small enough to easily fit into a suitcase or backpack. This is not my main tripod but it works great for travel. It even comes with a simple ballhead that works fine. You can remove it and put your favorite ballhead on if you want. Thumbs up.

Great Little Tripod - Fills a Niche

I have an extensive tripod collection - everything from the heavyweight monsters to table-top units. I had to search extensively to find a solid tripod that was larger and more capable than a table-top tripod. Most were too large, too small, or too flimsy. This tripod is small enough for carry anywhere, yet it is solid enough to support a substantial SLR camera with a fairly large lens. Very few tripods address this need.
The SPRINT MINI II is designed for the traveler in need of camera support larger than a table-top tripod, but smaller than a full sized.
The SPRINT MINI II GM is a very compact tripod with 4 legs sections to collapse down to less than 14 inches and weighs just 1.75 lbs.
An updated version of one of the popular SLIK SPRINT series, the new SPRINT MINI II GM (gun metal finish) has padded leg wraps for more comfortable carrying. The new tripod also has a new SLIK SBH-100DQ all-metal compact ball head with quick release system for faster, easier mounting of a camera.
The SPRINT MINI II GM is small when fully collapsed, but a maximum height of 43.3 in. The adjustable leg angles can be used to splay the legs out and lower the tripod. When used with the built-in short center column, (the included center column unscrews into two pieces) the camera is just 6.4 inches off the ground for extremely low angle or macro photography out in the field. Another way to get the camera low is to reverse the center column that can be used for macro photography as well.
