Bought as a Used Item. Unit received had a scratch on the screen but was not noted in the product description (Adorama's fault rather than Small HD's). The unit also started having ghosting and dithering effects. Works excellently in DIRECT Sunlight. Never knew how bright 1500 NITS was compared to other monitors which were say 400 NITS, but it is a huge difference maker when the sun comes out. Even with a slight overcast in the sky with the sun peaking through a 400 NIT monitor seems too dim compared to 1500 NITS. At Backlight = 0%, the DP7 Pro HB is at about 450 to 500 NITS. At Backlight = 50%, it is hard to discern the difference when Backlight = 100%. Bought the Sony NPF battery kit with this and it is very hard to swap out the batteries as they are very snug tight. Would be hard to swap batteries in the field with one hand quickly. Even with two hands it is a struggle. The battery life indicator only shows the voltage level and in percentages which makes it hard to judge how much power is left in this unit. With the Sony NPF batteries, this unit requires two batteries to run at a time. It drains both batteries equally so if one battery is weaker/older than it becomes the weakest link, thus shortening battery life. I was surprised to learn that this unit comes with a built-in fan. You can control the fan in terms of high, med, low and off. At the high and med setting it is very loud. Luckily you can pre-program each smart key for each setting of the fan for quick adjustments. Gets 1 star out of 5 because of the inaccurate product description. Still waiting for the return label from Adorama. The Customer Service Department has been very swift and easy to deal with so far.
