Shopper : i have a thunderbolt cable.. is this the adapter to make it work with my firewire connector?WILLIE C : Apple makes a thunderbolt to firewire 800 adapter. If you need firewire 400 then you will need this as wellGEORGE B H : I don't know. In my case I had a hard drive with a 6 pin cable, and I needed to plug it into a 9 pin device. This adapter worked perfectly. If you check the specs on the cable and device, you should be able to determine if you are trying to convert a 6 pin connector to a 9 pin.

Saved Myself $125!
