Questions about this item:

Shopper  So, if using this card reader with a 17' MAC (without) USB 3.0, Firewire 800 would be the fastest download ?
michael p  The AXSCR1 USB 3.0 card reader includes a usb cable only. And it is backward compatible with usb 2. Im using an IMAC deskstop with 16gb ram with usb 2 ports and it runs pretty fast considering its usb 2. But there is no firewire port out of the unit so you are limited to usb 3 or usb2 whichever port your 17' MAC has available. Im sure it would be faster if I was using a usb 3 port. But Im satisfied with the transfer rate whether its usb 2 or usb 3. It really is sufficiently fast considering its usb and the raw files copy very quickly.
