Sony Stereo AM / FM & CD Clock Radio with iPod and iPhone Dock

Almost perfect. This radio fits perfectly in my small cubicle. The cement walls mess with the radio signal so the two antennas help find a signal; however, antenna came undone from its plug and I had to thread it through again. I work in an office of cubicles and have to keep my radio low; unfortunately there is no headphone jack to hear my music better only an audio in jack.

nice radio but after warranty expired (about month after ) display started to fade (some of the digits or parts of the digits) for both clock and radio/ipod ,and this BEING A CLOCK making this whole setup completely useless ,i don't know what is happening to Sony legendary quality ?

I received an iPod Touch 4th Generation as a gift this summer, and I purchased this iPod/Radio/CD Player so that I could dock my new iPod Touch and play music. I was dismayed to discover that this "dream machine" does not support any version of the iPod Touch newer than the 2nd generation or the iPhone newer than the original 3G; my iPod Touch doesn't even fit on the docking jack. Since the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th Generation have been in production for a year, I would have thought that any iPhone/iPod device on store shelves would support the latest technology.

This would be a perfect clock/radio/iphone dock if only the "experts" on the engineering team had bothered to test is in low light, like say, someone's room at night...There are three brightness setting, "sun in death valley at noon", "interrogation room" and "reading light". You can literally read the instructions that come with the clock in an otherwise totally dark room on the lowest light setting. Would it have killed them to actually put a DIM setting? This is not just a Sony problem, I have one clock that is okay in this regard and three like rejects, however the one with a decent dim setting has no iphone dock. If you cannot sleep with an overhead light on, don't buy this clock. Otherwise its great, especially if you are afraid of the dark.

I bought this clock a few months ago to replace an older clock I had, and this clock here has been great. Let me start with it has a nice big LCD screen on it, you can also adjust the brightness on it, One feature I mainly bought this for was for the iPod charger, I always leave my iPod sit on the charging dock when I am not using it and it does not overcharge your iPod either. This clock can also play music from your iPod and the clock comes with a nice remote to play your music across the room. It has the ability to play CD's as well, and has a dual alarm clock. Its the perfect size clock too, you could fit it on a small end table or shelf. One last thing, you can also choose to wake up with either a CD, Radio or iPod. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is a great radio/cd/ipod device that would be great as long as you don't use it on your nightstand or anywhere in your bedroom. Even with the LCD screen on low, you can read by it at night.

This radio has no internal antenna for AM. If you want to use AM, do not bother with this CD AM/FM radio. I have three other Sony portables and all have built in "no trouble" AM antennas This Dream Machine ICF CD3iP demands that two very tiny wires be slid into two impossible to see slots for the AM to work. The outside antenna that is supplied looks cheap.

This item is compact and great to sit on a night stand or desk. I absolutely love it. The reviews that I have read weren't that helpful, but I own many electronics that are made by Sony so I knew that it had to be an excellent item. I love the style. This radio just looks so nice for such a compact item. The clock is labeled in dark black embeded print so that it is easy for people to find the radio, CD player and Ipod player. I like how the CD and Ipod players aren't visible to the eye. All you have to do is read the printed part next to each item and open each part to see where they are located on the Radio. The radio sounds crisp and clear. If you are looking for a Boom Box this is not it. I mainly bought this item to wake me up and to listen to the radio, in the mornings while I am getting ready for work. I tried everything on this radio to see how they work and I want you to know that it plays the CD, Radio and Ipod very clearly. I am so proud of Sony . This is a great item to purchase; that is why I gave it 5 stars. I don't know what people were fussing about so much when they mention how the light on the clock is too bright. Those people must have a very tiny bedroom. It is a perfect item, you will truly love it.
