I don't know what is wrong with the systems that these other reviews are based on. I have had mine for five years in my bedroom, and the sound quality is great. I find it a little tricky to work with the alarm/timer function, but it's not that hard. I haven't had any trouble at all with the cd player, by the way. I just love this stereo; it's a decent price for a system this nice. I don't see me buying another system for a long time.

I bought this just before my daughter was born for her room. After 18 months it stopped playing CDs. I'm kind of giving up on Sony. I had a 60" Sony TV. After 5 years a blue spot showed up on the screen. I found out that there was a recall on it but by the time my TV had the problem the recall was over. Had to buy a new TV. Have a Sony camcorder. The touch screen on it broke ofter a month. Was repaired under warranty. I rarely use it because you can shoot good videos with a regular camera as well and it's easier to carry it around. I turned it on recently and I have the same problem. Of course now it is not under warranty. Got a laptop last year and that is still working well. I hope for a long time.

It may look small and a bit disappointing, but it works great. You'll be surprised when you play music into it. It has great sound at a very good size. The price is reasonable but could be lower. Good for indoor rooms not sure about outdoors though. iPod dock works great.

I hope this last more than what other customers have said, on previous reviews. Someone mentioned that after 11 months the CD player died. I hope it had to do with the caring part and not the quality of the component.

I've owned many Sony products, including one of their very first portable CD players ever sold. Longevity was never an issue. Really disappointed in this product.

I recieved this for Christmas, and I am using it in my office with an Ipod Touch and it works Great!!! Sounds Great, AM Reception and FM Reception is good. Well Worth money..... I recommend it greatly

After setting up the system, I was never able to get the system to control my iPod. The manual included with the product along with the online support was minimal and ineffective in troubleshooting the problem. I will be returning the Sony system.

Use this with an iPod touch and it works well. Sounds great - much better than I expected for a micro system. One word of caution, look at the measurements carefully, it's not the smallest stereo around. You'll need a pretty big book shelf to hold it.
