Expensive, but worked well. Although you do need to use it with an ethernet cable, instead of leaving the TV on wireless due to lagging/buffering....

I bought this dedicated SKPE camera to go along with a new Sony Bravia KDL-40W705CBU 40" LED TV, only to subsequently discover that the above Sony TV does not support Skype. I have since returned the camera to the retailer who had failed to advise me of the non-compatibility issue at the time of purchase. As the TV set had already been wall-mounted, I was discouraged from also changing the newly purchased Sony TV for a Skype-compatible such as Panasonic. Instead I have had to invest in a M8C android box with built-in camera and microphone in order to achieve Skype functionality..

I've been using for Skype. Is good. I am not sure but some times, the TV can't freezes or just go of skype (mustache it out). Would be nice know what else I can do with the camera? Is it only for the TV? Can I use on my PlayStation 3? Thank you Sony.

The picture quality on Skype is outstanding. Annoying feature is that Skype can't be disabled on the TV after signing in to Skype on my iPad ! "Sign in unsuccessful" appears every time after turning on the TV

Rather overpriced for what is a simple webcam in comparison (in particular) Logitech cameras - very little information on the Sony website as to it's actual specifications. However it is the ONLY camera that will work with the Sony Smart TV I have bought so - needs must!

We bought this as we Skype with our eldest son on a weekly basis and having it on iPad or laptop meant only one person was able to see what was going on at a time.

This camera is mega.It was bought to compliment my 50inch Bravia.Excellent images and sound is crystal clear.Would recommend. p.s the photo makes it look quite large,it is quite small and fits on top of the screen like it was made for it.

Nice to use the TV to chat with family and friend, plus they all love seeing me sitting in my lounge. Works easily, focuses automatically. and relays the other persons image fairly well. Although I have noticed the persons image I speak to soundly gets blurred after a certain amount of time. Not sure why this is.

Frustrating that one has to use a Sony webcam with a Sony TV. Microphone volume insufficient for normal viewing distance for a large screen TV

I bought this item together with the Sony RMF-ED004 compatible with this Sony Bravia KDL42705B Smart LED TV which I recently purchased. I am so pleased that t I did buy this product. You simply connect the item in the USB port on the rear of you Bravia TV and that's that. Simple. When you go on to your Apps and select Skype, Your webcam is Activated automatically. In my opinion, I do pride myself with Sony, for quality, design and best gadgets. This is well worth the money.

I bought this to accompany my new Sony TV. I thought it seemed expensive but I am happy that the cost was worthwhile. It is very effective, unobtrusive and easy to set up. Overall I am very happy.

I bought this 6months ago for my 2012 KDL-55HX8. It's neat and compact and doesn't detract from the style of the HX8. Picture quality is good.

Poor microphone sensitivity. My CMU-BR100 is very much better when it comes to microphone sensitivity.

Bought this webcam for using Skype with our Sony TV. Plug-in-and-play, attaches to TV easily. Works really well with good picture and sound. Small and inconspicous, just a very small white lamp on front shows to indicate working. Also works well with my PC. Seems to be able to auto-focus (from a foot to infinity), takes a few moments to refocus when moved from flowers close on table to a view down the garden. No controls on webcam.

Bought this so we didn't have to huddle around the PC - Works well, easy to set up & I'm told the picture the recipient receives is good. Down side - Expensive plus no zoom

Have to say this has been a great disappointment I bought 2 BR200's both for a 42 inch screen & a 50inch screen on both screens the skype pictures are very small. I get bigger skype pictures on my Sony VIAO Laptop.Very over priced for what it does, the USB cord is also very short.I would Not recommend it, but you need it if you buy Sony TVs as nothing else works because of a brand software lock.

Would not recommend buying this... Its sold as an add on for your TV to enable Skype functionality, however it does not have zoom capability- therefor when you sitting on the couch, you show up as about 1/10 the size of the screen... effectively worthless to allow the other person to see you

After using this camera for 1 month, I am not totally satisfied with it. The camera view is narrow with no option for a wide angle view. Unless you are directly in front of the camera you will not be in view. Too much money for such a poorly designed camera.

I use the camera with my XBR 900A. Good addition to use on Skype. Reliable so far (2 months), Good picture and sound quality.
