The best things I like about the camera are the size and weight of camcorder (fits very comfortably in palm of hand and is very light);the ease of use (just open the screen and it turns on and close the screen and it turns off); touch screen, and very easy to upload and transfer to disc.

The best videocam out there! We have one at home (for home/fun videos and travel) and I purchased one for use at work. The ease of recording direct to hard drive and then uploading direct to a computer for editing...this is ideal for my use at work (small historic site). The size & weight of the camera are great to stick in a pocket when not in use. The price point is great, the quality is great...can't go wrong with a Sony in my opinion! You won't regret buying this product!

After researching this camera on line and seeing that it came recommended by Consumer Reports Magazine, I went to take a look at it in person and was shocked by how small it is. My first 8MM Handycam from the early 90's looks like a beast compared to this cute little thing. I bought it and have not regretted my purchase once. It takes great video and stills and is so easy to use. It does not have a ton of fancy featrues but who needs all that if it takes great video? I love how light it is, no more arm fatigue! It is also so easy to transfer your video to your computer. I have a Mac with iMovie and I made a very cool movie about 15 minutes after I took the camera out of the box. If you are looking for a compact, easy to use camera that takes great video, this camera is for you.

I am writing this more about the accessories for the camera, I should have done a little more research before I bought, I did want a sony camera and did not want to spend more than 300.00.. I love the camera and the user friendly way its layed out.. My only dissipointment is that there dosen't seem to any accessories as far as wide angle lens, or filter lens for this model. If there is please let me know... I would love a wide angle lens..

Took this little guy one it's first outing to a day at the Aquarium with the family. Set on HQ and internal memory and armed with the 2 hr battery I filmed all day including the dolphin show and still had memory and battery life left, never had to use the extra battery or memory card I also brought with me. When I got home I made a DVD before going to bed and the kids were watching the dolpin show all the next day. Never felt like I was inconvenienced with a bulky camera all day. AWESOME! Will carry this little guy all the time now!
