Great case for Active Travelers. I've had one for 5yrs. and just ordered another one for my 3D Camcorder. Just add a small neoprene from a Laptop sleeve cover and you can adjust the camera height w/in the holster. I carry it on my pants-belt using the belt mount snap-tab. I loop the shoulder strap around my waist & into one pants-belt-loop on the opposite side and use that strap as a secure back-up attachment point. I highly recommend this case..

I selected item from a broucher packed with the new HandyCam, that recommends items for the new camera. This carrying case isn't even close to a match for the size of the new camera.

The product is overall very nice. It is just a bit big for the HDR-CX700V. There is a lot of extra space around the camera which may come in handy for storing memory or something. It could definitely be about 25% smaller and fit more snugly for the CX700V, but I don't think Sony makes a smaller one.

It completely encases the camcorder in a semi-rigid case, leaving the camcorders strap protruding through a cleverly designed slot for easy and quick camcorder removal. The top is velcro secured down. The case can either be slung over your shoulder or fastened to a waist strap such as a belt.

Loved it! I recently brought a Camcorder (HDR-XR350V) and it is absolutely perfect! You can wear it like a holster and pull it out smoothly!! You will not be dissappointed!
