I actually purchase the Sony MDR10R in 2014 and finally, this month, my headphones ear pads just started to split the seam. These babies have lasted so long. I cannot recommend them enough. I've been searching online for earpad replacements. (Hopefully I find them, or I could purchase used or unopened ones on eBay) The sound quality is amazing and if you don't care for wireless functionality, these headphones are the ones for you. I just wish I purchased more than one originally. Thanks Sony. Great quality and the earpads lasted 6 years for me!

I bought these headphones almost four years ago, I've had Sony branded everything for quite some time and this pair of headphones have not failed me yet. The battery lasts over a long period of time (I use it at length over eight hours, volume levels vary), the faux leather has not torn and the charging port is still in great condition. These headphones offer comfort for long hours of use and continue to do so to this day. In weather conditions, it's not suited for trips in the rain but they'll certainly take the snow without a problem. The design for the product is good for the user; a Bluetooth set of headphones can either be large or clunky but this design fits in most of my day to day travel bag. The NFC connectivity is immediate with the connection, the Bluetooth can take a moment but only if you've paired this set of headphones with other devices. Overall, all the device free control to adjust volume and skip songs is my favourite part of this pair of headphones. I could not be without a quick flick to get to the next song on my morning commute, or pausing the song to take a call from a relative checking in. The sound quality delivers and the drivers take on the bass, the only problem is, in the long run, the more songs with the same frequency or level of bass seems to have a slight drop in quality. Again, not a problem as it still delivers the sharp quality for the rest of the song. If I were to ever need an upgrade from these headphones I would try and keep to the same quality and functions that this pair holds.

I've had the phones for a little over a year now, and use them almost daily on my commute to work. The sound quality is great, the fact that you can pair with your phone, but use the cable to connect to other devices (such a portable gaming devices) is very useful. They fold up nicely, and have a thin profile when storing in my messenger bag. Couldn't ask for a better set of headphones.

Bought these a while ago actually....probably close to 2 years ago and really haven't had any problems with them. They're kind of big for traveling, and sound quality could be better, but those things are pretty apparent considering the price tag and the fact that these are over-the-ear headphones. Pros: These are by far the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned, I can wear these for an entire day in complete comfort Cons: Only thing that's stopped working for me is the microphone cable, the audio signal through that cable has become very quiet for some reason.

All reviews rate sound quality in the initial month or so which was very good. However there are no reviews rating the ear pads after 15 months. Both earpads started to split on the plastic seam and now the foam is showing. Poor material choice for the pad cover and poor pad design. Expected a longer product life.

Extremely comfortable. I travel a great deal and these headphones are superb on a plane. The sound is deep and the clarity is excellent. Folds up neatly and flat into a travel pouch. Great value.

I love these headphones! They sound great and are very comfortable to wear, not only that they're stylish too! I use to use skull candy headphones and even tried Beats for a while but they just don't compare to these bad boys!
