Overall work well, after 1 to 1 1/2 hours hurt my ears.

NOTE: Just so this is understood: Neither of the Earphones I've purchased, from SONY, so far, are intended for Reference Studio Work. In Reality, I bought these, out of Desperation, since my better—NON-Reference/NON-Studio—(MDR-Q22LP), had a Design Flaw, and were inoperable. Whilst awaiting their Replacements--which ARE in working order--I, Tired of having to rely solely on the Mini MacBook Speakers, and NO iPod Touch Music and Podcasts, at all, went to a local Tech Store, and bought these. ---- It wasn’t easy choosing! It took me well over 45 mins. on deciding which one to get, because, at first, I was looking for another set of clip ons, but the Models they had, were not what I wanted. I had already given up when, upon asking the Manager about them, and having already been to two (2) separate Depts., w/in the Store, they sent me BACK to the first Sales Person, in the Audio Dept., (Not MP3), who heard of my Needs, and wants, desire not to buy Made in China, products, etc. Ultimately, I settled on this pair, and got the SONY, principally because I knew it was a Good Brand, (even though these ARE made in China, (Aaargh!). I like the fact they have in-Line Loudness (Volume) Control, and though their Bass Response isn't all that Great, they do reproduce Strings, and Vocals, (the High End Frequencies) fairly well. My Recommendation: If all you need are Earbuds, for Casual Listening of Podcasts, and Spoken Word, or Music which is not very Bassey, these are a good bang for the Buck....

The Sony MDR-E829V earbud headphones feature high quality 16mm driver units and neodymium magnets for powerful bass and clear treble sound. The Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit uses sound chamber and ducts for improved efficiency, while in-line volume control, supplied compact winding case and super-light, in-ear design completes the package.
