Can't beat it

This thing is awesome. I carry it with me all the time. As a musician, it is essential. My band mates are constantly amazed at the sound quality when I send them recordings of our rehearsals and performances. In fact, I find myself using all of the features it offers, even the pitch-shifting and time-stretching capabilities. This comes in handy for learning new songs. And with the super-long battery life, I can even use this as a player. So handy - I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Best sound recorder in its class

By

from San Francisco, CA  -  Novice

Great design and build quality. Tremendous recording capability in terms of low distortion and noise. Other recorders like the Zoom H4n may offer additional features that appeal to certain applications, but nothing in this class of recorders beats the M10. Pair this bad boy with a pair of Church audio microphones and you have attained sound recording nirvana. Nice

By

from annapolis md  -  Hobbyist

I use this to record concerts, works great with my Schoeps MK4 or DPA 4060's in front of a mic preamp Love the fact that there is a rec level knob to adjust, levels are easy to set. like the look of the meters and peak lights Two AA batts last 20+ hrs....incredible! A 16gb patriot class4 micro sd card works well with the unit Split l/r record adjustments would be nice, but I am not going to complain at this price point

Questions about this item:

Richard G  If I use a reducer/connector 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. & put a professional mic. on it will it work & have enough power to run it or is it possible this set up could harm the recorder?
CURTIS K  Check the Professional Mic. voltage spec and match it to the mic. input spec on the recorder. If they they match then go for it. My suggestion is that you use one of sony's mic's that has an equal spec as the one you want to use.
Shopper  Is this a returned item? Why is it cheaper?
JOHN F  The one I bought was brand new! It is an excellent recorder. I highly recommended it. It is probably less expensive because this vendor has very good pricing. That is why I bought from them
Lorraine L  I have lost my usb cord. Where can I purchase a new one?
CHRISTOPHER P  No worries. You can get a replacement USB cable anywhere. * The type you're looking for is a USB 480Mbps Type "A" Male to "Mini-B/5" Male * Any available length will do fine * You don't need a 3.0 USB, a 2.0 type works properly * Do a search on the cable type to find a local office supply store, or Web resource They cost a couple of dollars.
