The first time I opened the ATIV and tried to use it, I absolutely hated Windows 8.1 version. I'm a Window 7 user. I think it is not intuitive but frustrating environment, so I can't really give my rating on functionality. The machine itself is lighter and sleeker tan my current laptop, although I miss not having a DVD drive and had to purchase an externa one.

Samsung ATIV book 9 + NP940X3G- K04 I paid $100 for UPS to Thailand & then I paid $200 for VAT & Delivery & I am still miles in front. This IS THE BEST laptop in the world! It replaces my 2011 Toshiba Qosmio i7 Not only does it have a Quad HD (2K) touch screen, it boots to windows 8.1 in 5.9 seconds. It has a backlit keyboard. It fired up & the asked to move all my stuff from the Toshiba or my other PC's on the network. It then downloaded all Samsung updates & MS updates & it knew I used Adobe photoshop so it downloaded it too, all this while I set up my email etc. I am waiting for the new Note 4 & it will Side Sync to the 9+ & the 9+ also syncs to my Samsung 55 inch Smart TV. It has loaded all drivers on my network. I purchased from ADORAMA USA & they are 5* also

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus 13.3" LED Touchscreen Ultrabook Notebook Computer features a 13.3" QHD+ LED-backlit display and a large 3200 x 1800 native resolution, resulting in 275 pixels per inch (ppi). The display is also a capacitive touchscreen with 10-point touch support so you'll be able to utilize all the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 8. Since the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, it supports 1080p Full HD content natively without upscaling. You can also output video to an external display via the HDMI port or using Intel Wireless Display (WiDi).
The system is powered by a dual-core 4th generation Haswell 1.8GHz Intel Core i7-4500U processor. It also has 8GB of onboard 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, a 3-in-1 media card reader, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet (via the included dongle), 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Wireless Display (WiDi), an integrated webcam and dual array microphones. There are also built-in stereo speakers with high definition audio support.
Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
