Don't buy this BD player if you expect Disc2Digital to work. Samsung has adopted what used to be known as Vaporware; promising features that don't currently work and have no ETA. Disc2Digital is released in this product but does not work and Samsung will not say when it will.

There are a lot of features on this blu-ray player besides just being able to play blu-ray movies. For one, if you have a Samsung or other DNLA compatible phone, you can share photos, videos with this blu-ray player utilizing Samsung's AllShare application. Also, there is the Smart Hub where you can download apps such as netflix, pandora, hulu plus, and vudu hd. There is so much content on the net and this player gives access to a lot of it. It even has wi-fi in case you don't have a wired ethernet connection handy, although I found that the streaming performance was better via the wired connection. YMMV.
