Samsung BD-J7500 Smart Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray Player

I bought this at the end of 2017 and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I am usually happy with Samsung high quality products, but this at least for us didn't meet our expectations. I previously had an issue where the dvd wasn't reading discs and now it doesn't respond (not turning on by touching it directly or using the remote; I followed the troubleshooting guide and yet no resolution. Of course, my Warranty through Best Buy expired, so I'm not sure what we will do.

When it worked it did a great job streaming and playing dvd's. However there were many times that it would have glitches. Then it died an early death at 16 months of usage.

This Blu-ray player has everything you would want. Excellent quality, great design, and apps that work great. I owned a Sony model previously, and now that I have this Samsung, I am delighted. The picture quality is even better, even without the UHD upscaling. I love how it fits with my other components like a glove, and that it has a clear display on the front of the unit. You won't be disappointed!

I have had this player for almost a year and the upscaling works very well with my 4k tv. Unlike other players that I have owned, you cannot hear this one when playing a Blu Ray. When using the wifi streaming apps the interface is cumbersome. Overall I would purchase this product again.

I love this product. I just bought a Samsung 4K UHD smart TV which I love. Paired with this player and it's a match made in heaven. The smart remote not only controls the DVD player but the tv as well and my cable box.

Works great with my 4K 40inch Samsung UHD TV. When I load the DVD the TV turns on and starts the Movie. Turns off goes back to the TV Channel. Has good connections for multiple tie-ins to other devices. Quality of Samsung Products - have a Samsung Note II phone and has lasted for years.

The Design of this product is very appealing, sleek and fits very well in my living room space. I really like the sharp modern look that it has. It also has illuminated touch buttons on top (The Power, Eject, Play/Pause, and Stop which add a cool futuristic look to the product and works flawlessly with each tap I apply. Easy set up, played right out of the box! Always a joy with an online purchase! The apps downloaded easily, although have yet to set up accounts to use, but if it's anything like downloading the apps, it should be good. Remote is of good size and fit, but the dual on/off buttons will take some getting used too. So far so good! We all own your smart phones as well for a reason! Good quality and ease of use.

Great sound and the blu-ray images are spectacular on my lager hdtv flat screen. Surround sound also great if watching regular tv shows or sports. I have been wanting a new blue-ray player for a while now, and this one had everything I needed in it. Thanks Samsung!

i've got so many A/V toys that it can take some time to familiarize myself with the details that ultimately make the difference in realizing the potential performance and features associated with a product. and while i can't yet say i've mastered the operation of the BD-J7500 /ZA, i can say i am extremely satisfied with its performance. in terms of day to day operation, i prefer using it's on-screen display with Smart Hub over that of my primary samsung smart TV. in part because the BD-J7500 is a couple of years newer than the TV, but primarily i find the operation of the entire system noteably smoother and free from many of the glitches i encounter with the smart TV. as for the minor issues, i found the manual to be lacking in terms of details. most questions required further revelation through samsung forums and/or google searches. the other issue, a common complaint in many reviews, is the useless front USB slot cover. it never stays in place and seems destined to just hang/dangle from its tether. i finally just cut it off.

This Blu-ray player does an excellent job with the two tasks I wanted it for, playing Blu-ray discs and streaming video (Netflix/Amazon Video. The clarity of the picture and sound is great. It's relatively easy to setup. One negative is on occasion it can drop or have a hard time connecting to my wireless network, but that could also be related to my wireless router too. The only other negative is it's a little pricey, but I don't have a problem with that considering the features and quality you get from it. I like the look and design of the player. It's relatively quiet while playing Blu-ray discs. The remote is pretty straight-forward making it easy to navigate the menus. I'm thoroughly pleased overall with this Blu-ray player.

This is an updated review as I have had this product for almost 2 months now and couldn't love it more, I use it every day. Whether im using it to watch Netflix or do watch a dvd Im never disappointed with it. I love being able to check facebook or get on youtube just from using my dvd player.

I just received my New Blu-Ray DVD Player and I am still learning all of the features and functions. The Picture and Sound are Excellent! I love the Closed Captioning on Netflix via Wi-Fi as well as on Blu-Ray DVDs. I often use my DVD Player late at night and in the Early Morning Hours when I can't sleep, so I use the Closed Captioning Feature to keep the volume low without worrying about annoying my Neighbors. My New BD-J7500 Blu-Ray DVD Player replaces my older Blu-Ray Player made by another company which developed problems and would no longer load a DVD properly. That old player also did not support Closed Captioning which I need now that I am in an Assisted Living Community. My New Blu-Ray DVD Player is a wonderful source of Entertainment and Information via the Web Browsing Feature. I am really enjoying it!

I've many DVD's.that I wanted to play with my Samsung Smart TV. When I found the characters of the BD-J5700 Blu-ray Player, it looked like the best thing. I read many reviews from the company I was looking on. They were also saying the things I wanted. I bought it, got it in one day and plugged it up last night. I started playing one of my greatest discs and enjoyed two hours. It couldn't be better. That's why I have many Samsung devices, TV's, tablets, phones and a Galaxy5.

We have only had it a short time, but we love the unit. It was easy to set up, and the quality of the picture on our Samsung 55" 4k JS8500 television. BD discs play excellent as well as the enhanced picture quality of regular dvd's. Quality is over the top.

The USB cap on front right corner is dangling loose. I exchanged for another unit. Got same problem, which tells me the design defect. It plays Blu-ray movie kinda grainy. When it plays a DVD's, far away pictures are like a watercolor painting. Tech guys from BestBuy are saying because it's trying to Upscale to 4K. Well, it's not doing a good job upscaling. Pictures are worse than a normal DVD playing a DVD movie.

The Blu-Ray player that I purchased is excellent. The 4K upscaling makes every disc we play amazingly clear and bright. This player matches perfectly to our Samsung 4K TV. We also love the new menu and the built-in apps.
