We purchased this television based on the top rating given to it by Consumer Reports. Only the old model was available locally so we opted to order it on-line. It was purchased for our master bedroom to replace a small tabletop non-HD model. It has not disappointed us. Setup was a snap, the picture is absolutely gorgeous and the controls are very easy to use. It did have an annoying little tune it played when it was turned off, but that can be shut off under external features. We had seen the picture in a local discount store, but they had only the old models, not the one listed in Consumer Reports. When we purchase a new HD for our great room we will certainly consider a Samsung first---and if we can't get it locally we would certainly consider ordering on line from Adorama.
