It can do everything the I pad can do.JOE R : The answer to your question might very well depend on whether your cell phone is an iPhone or an Android phone. I generally find that most people are more favorable towards the SG Note 10.1 when they have an Android phone because they are familiar with the Android operating system. My phone is the Galaxy Note 3 and I have the 32 GB SG Note 10.1 (2013 edition) tablet. Moving back and forth from my phone to the tablet is pretty second nature for me. But when I try to use my sister's iPad, I have to give more thought to what I am doing-- just don't have the comfort level that I do with the Android system. The iPad Retina Display blows away the display of the SGN 10.1. If you get the 2014 edition of the SGN 10.1, the advantage of Apple's retina display isn't as noticeable. If you are considering the SGN 10.1, you're probably considering it because of the stylus pen. This is one of my favorite features of this tablet and an advantage this tablet has over the iPad. The stylus allows you to utilize apps like PhotoShop Touch to precisely edit photos on your tablet. To me, using a stylus pen is a much more natural way of scrolling and flipping through the screen of the tablet rather than using your finger. Call me OCD but the fingerprints on the screen would drive me nuts! LOL Using the stylus to take notes and "write" on the tablet is another big plus. If you're a poor typist like me, it much faster and easier to handwrite things. The SGN's recognition does a great job of translating what you are writing. If you like to sketch or doodle, the stylus also allows you to do that with ease. The SGN just seems to offer more than the iPad. I'm not sorry I got one-- love my SGN 10.1!GREGORY R : The Samsung Note Tablet has a USB port which the apple does not and accepts external SD cards for memory expansion which the apple does not. Most apps are available for either device but occasionally there are apple only apps. The ipad works nicely with iphone if you want to transfer data between the 2. This unit has Bluetooth built into the device, a Bluetooth adapter is not required to enable it on the tablet. Great Device

I use the tablet for business oriented and photo viewing and editing, along with email. It performs flawlessly and comes with some marvelous apps already installed. It's fast and flexible. I love the ability to create folders for shortcuts. I have yet, however, found an Android browser that I really like.

Just an Awesome Tablet

One of the absolute best Android tablets on the market. It is very fast, reliable, and can drun multiple apps at the same time with the beneifits provided through premium suite. Jelly bean update only made things better.

Good Tablet - Great Features

On receipt had to upgrade the firmware to the latest Android Jelly Bean. A daunting exercise but managed it without any glitches. Need to use a cleaning pad to remove smears from the screen. Now have to figure out how to use the removable 64GB micro SDHC memory card to best advantage for other than back-up/restore functionality.
