I only had this a week before it stopped working. I returned it today. I'm very disappointed, I've always been a fan of Samsung. Also I didn't realize it was a 2016 model. I can't believe there still selling a tablet that outdated.

Would never recommend. Simply, 8 gb is almost useless (the tablet O/S itself uses over 3 gb). I am constantly clearing cache to free up more space. I have 64 gb SD card, but most apps can't be worked from the card. I love the convenience of a tablet, bUT I'd never go below 16 gb. Totally frustrating. As well, the battery life is poor, both on my tablet and my Samsung phone. Samsung, you've got work to do.

My son gave me this a Christmas gift in 2017 and it's still going great. I love it, because it's small and good for my hand size. I'm probably going to update this year, just because.

I decided to buy this little tablet because it was compact. I was getting tired of how small my Apple iPod touch was when I traveled abroad. The first time I saw this device was in Spain at a Landmark, they had these for audio guides. Once I went back home, I did my research, and saw that it was on sale. I am going to use this mini tablet for when I travel. I noticed that this tablet has a radio icon, it plays local radio stations. Which I thought was cool. One of the reason why I bought this. However, there are flaws, the hard drive memory is ONLY 8 mb, very small, I wish the device memory could be 16. I’m happy that there is a mini SD card slot to widen the memory... and since the Device is like 3 yrs old. The OS is a bit outdated. It’s using lollipop android OS , I really wish Samsung can upgrade the OS to a more current version. Since Samsung galaxy 10 smartphones are out, I thought they can upgrade their tablet to the same technology as their smartphones. I feel so outdated using it. The music quality is great, the photo quality is stunningly clear and sharp. The only thing that bothers me is the outdated operating system. Everything else is cool. You can purchase it. But please do you research and homework first, and please shop around.

Brand new from Samsung, had it for two days now, constant dropping of WIFI, while other devices both Android and IOS work perfectly. Apps are slow to open, some won't open, and a few I can't even get to download (Ebay for one). Being a huge Samsung fan, anda past/present customer this is dissapointing. Will update this review as warranted.

I have an older version of this model - SM-T230NU - and wouldn't give it up for anything. I do a lot of "remote" hiking, where I'm on the trail for days with nothing but my backpack, and this tablet goes with me. It's invaluable to use after the sun goes down and before it's time to crawl into the sleeping bag. I use it for the eReader (Overdrive, MP4 movies, Animated Knots (by Grog) application, and a few strategy games that make me think. Battery life is unbeatable - I get about 30 minutes of video for 5% of the battery, and have no issues using it for the entire backpacking trip from the initial full charge. I'm glad to see Samsung still offering the 7" model - it's PERFECT for holding and not needing to squint, and there are a lot of us out there who don't want a huge screen in front of us. I'm also happy they offer one that's wi-fi only, because this tablet, for my use, is never connected (no need to) except when I need to check out more eBooks from my library. Combined with my Fintie leatherette folder this unit fits perfectly within, I'm a happy Samsung customer. I also take this tablet everywhere Igo

I didn't expect much from this tablet, as it is a cheaper price tag, and on a lower version of Android than my phone is. However I have no complaints: it runs well, battery life is surprisingly good. It does all the things I need it to for school. I usually find tablets have awkward interfaces but I really like the setup for this one. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this thinking 8 gigs is fine if I can just add an SD card to it. But, because it's runs Lollipop and never got the marshamallow upgrade, the SD card is useless because Lollipop won't let you put apps on the SD card. If you want to actually use this tablet for things other than reading, you should find another tablet. I'm horrible disappointment with the tablet and disappointed that Samsung didn't release a marshmallow upgrade to this tablet when it was released just a couple months before marshmallow was released. I don't think I'll ever purchase another samsung device.

Loads fast, which was one of my main concerns in purchasing a tablet, I also wanted a strong battery,which my Samsung has. My tablet met all the specifications i desired in a tablet. I researched tablets for about a week, all brands and models. The Samsung was my final choice and it has proved to be the correct choice.

This was a great tablet for a little over a year; no complaints. I bought a very good spongy, cushiony, thick green rubbery cover for it, and took really good care of it, never dropping it, taking special care when plugging it up to charge (doing it slowly and carefully, never leaving it with the screen exposed. Then one day, about 6 months after the warranty expired, I was using it, set it down with screen turned off, and when I picked it up just a few minutes later, I had in my hand a brick. No warning, dead as a doornail, never to show a spark of life again. I have an older Tab 4 that's still going strong and never given any problem. I wouldn't recommend the Tab A.

After two Asus tablets that broke within two years, this one tops all tablets I've seen for the quality. I use this thing for everything, everyday (I don't have a phone), and now at two years and a half is still going without any issue as it always has, except the battery doesn't charge as well as when I got it. But get this - I bought it refurbished. And still, it's great. The features are a little scarce - it doesn't have app predicting AI or crazy camera options, but the main use was never targeted toward that for me more than the price. The camera is okay. An example picture is included. I honestly use this more for editing pictures than taking them. The performance is okay, compared to the higher-end availabilities offered. It can lag a bit if a lot of heavy apps are running. It isn't lightning fast when navigating around either. It also actually fits in my jeans pocket, with a bit of patients. If you can afford it, get a 32gb. 8 is NOT enough, and I have no games or pictures on internal - just a few office-related constantly-updating apps. It runs Android 5.1.1 which is a little outdated for me, and I've been running out of storage for about a year now with my 8gb. These are both reasons I am getting a new phone now (Google Pixel), but I may still keep this nifty tab for the in-between computer and phone moments for picture editing, research, reading and video watching.

I like this tablet because it's got a small screen, two great cameras to take photos, and not to mention an fm tuner which is great for personal entertainment or an emergency. Long lasting battery life. My only wish for this beautiful tablet: cellular data support

What can I say? This is such a bad tablet. Worst performance ever. Doesn,t pick up strong Wi-Fi signal, very clunky between applications, bad camera quality, kiddy looking icons. Samsung should have done better than this. Dave your money and buy something better.

I purchased this tablet for my son and he is in love with it. He plays his learning games with no problems whatsoever, watches his kid shows and multi task with this action figures, and he even knows how to pull up a different window when there are more than one application open at a time. It is an overall great tablet.
