I have other products for ereading purposes but wanted one for when I would like to view color ebooks. I loaded MoonReader, Nook, and Kindle. I uninstalled updates to other pre-installed apps I will not be using which even though it does not completely remove the app, it reduced the size of the app. I only use in Airplane mode when I am reading, and the battery life is great. Only Kindle and MoonReader appear to allow you to store books on SD card. You can read online how to sideload books for Moonreader and Kindle. Due to the older Android OS you cannot move applications to the card. Samsung should really release a newer OS for this model. A later version OS would permit you to run applications from the SD card. So be prepared for little to no space for applications, but if your using in similar fashion to me, you have plenty of space for ebooks dependent on SD card you use. Have to admit I am using this with my black and white ebooks now as well. There is a display setting in the Samsung for book reading, but even Moonreader has a blue light filter in their settings. For the price, I think it is a great value. I do have a S10 and S2 as well from Samsung.

This is an excellent tablet that has worked well for me for several years. The 7" size is perfect for me, anything larger won't fit in a pocket. I use this mostly for email and some web browsing while traveling. Unfortunately, when I wanted to update to a newer model, the operating system and specifications for the new 7" tablets is no better than the 3 year old device I already have. Too many apps are coming up as no longer compatible with anything older than Android 6.

any device with less then 32g internal memory is worthless in todats world! the external memory even though great for pictures and video you take wont help you with how many apps you can download or movies you can download. Dont buy anythind with less the 32g internal memory!

Purchased in June, 2018. I love everything about this tablet but one, but this one is the deal killer: the system software (and bloatware and miscellaneous files use up so much of the internal drive space I cannot install a modest amount of apps. I consistently am down to 500 mg. I had to delete Google Sheets, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Kindle and Audible, even after I moved what I could to an SD card. I do not want to use the browser instead of an app.

Super old version of android means you can't use family features to control it. Very low storage plus a lot of forced samsung apps means you can't have very many games on it

I bought this for my little girl and she loves it. My only negative comment is when I go to the playstore, I can't find the Xfinity stream app. Not sure if it's software issues or what. Other than that I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've had several samsung products, a few phone a tv and this tablet. This tablet was by far the worst of the bunch. I had to send this tablet to Samsung on 4 different occasions to get it repaired due to a recurring issue with the Wi-Fi and soft touch buttons not working. The 5th time it went out on me I requested and was approved for a replacement after their initial option was to again send it in and have it repaired. The level of customer service I've rec'd this time around has been sub-par to say the least. Too many customer service reps that didn't know how to help me, little to no communication from Samsung along the way. I had to call several times for updates because I didn't hear from them when they said I would. It has been 2 months and my tablet still has not been replaced and the replacement was approved about a month ago. This whole experience has made me question any future purchases from Samsung.

Loaded with stuff you might use or not and does not have an easy way to make space for much else. I added 128G external card but the amount of applications that can be moved to the card seem very limited. In using the Google maps option to download local offline maps I got no space to update without deleting games. Too many applications insist on staying in the limited 8G of main memory. If there is an option to force apps to the external card it does not seem to be obvious. Was going through the Google maps functions. Had installed local maps for offline use, it is a WiFi tablet, and some areas just do not have it, so I wanted to make the best use of the maps. I was able to mark a pin on a part of the area not covered by the offline maps. When I got back online and able to look at the pin it was good. Was able to look at routes using different travel methods and was impressed. But the storage memory management needs some updating to really excell. I'm am enjoying playing games on the tablet, space is limited to just a few. I do have game generated pictures and camera generated pictures being stored on the card. The camera setup is good the maximum picture sizes are different for front and back cameras. Did get get some nice holiday pictures and videos. ... did delete one for motion blur. On the whole I am enjoying my new tablet, my first Samsung product.

Last yr. I brought this tablet after buying the e7, because it didn’t have the front facing camera. This tablet is great, just great. I can carry it in my purse, it takes nice pictures & videos. With the gigabytes I’m able to do what I need to. Great tablet for me. I gave the other tablet to my grandson as a Christmas gift & he loves it.

Before I got this tablet, I didn't know that 8GB storage wasn't a good amount, around half of it is already taken by the system and there is some built in apps that I don't want that I can't delete. I have all of my apps on the SD card that the app developers allow and all of my pictures and other files on the SD card. I also use smart manager a lot to delete the unnecessary files. I still can't seem to be able to get much apps. Other than this I think this tablet works great, it is fast and durable and I use it a lot. I would recommend this tablet to someone that doesn't use a lot of storage, I am a person that uses a lot of storage, so that could be it too. The price is good. I like Samsung products and I have the Samsung Galaxy S4.

I just purchased and have only been using it for a brief period of time. I have used at least 4 other leading brands. In my opinion I find that the Galaxy is easier to use than most others. I am really enjoying my tablet. The only thing I miss is Adobe Flash.

This is actually my very first white android tablet and I will mention that white appears to be an in color these days and in my opinion offers a more fresh and positive appearance. The color alone sort of puts me in a better mood and helps bring a smile to my face whenever and wherever I need to reach for it!

Bought this tablet to take the place of my S2 when I had to send that one in for service. I am totally impressed with this small tablet! I connected it to my Bluetooth keyboard so I could use it for email. Also use it for web-surfing and watching movies. It connects quickly with my wi-fi signal and is pretty fast. The battery life is fantastic. I can use it all day and still have about 40 to 50% of the charge left in the evening when I turn it off. I have put in a 64gb sd card to store all of the photos I have on it. It only has 8 gb of internal storage and much of that is already in use so I only downloaded a couple of games I like to play while waiting for appointments, etc. There are limitations because of the small amount of storage but you can get around some of that by using an sd card. The small rear speaker is adequate but when I listen to music I use my Bluetooth speaker or my earphones. I bought a nice little MoKo Slim-Fit case for it and even though I have my S2 back I still am using this tablet often.

I had a different tablet and I traded it in for this one. I am so happy I did that and wish I did it sooner! This Samsung Galaxy Tab A doesn't give me a hard time at all. It takes great pictures, it doesn't freeze up like other tablets do. I have no problems with it. Well worth the price and I found mine on sale so that was even better!
