You get these when you want to really protect things. They are great at what they do. Pick/pluck foam is convenient, but over time you likely will need to replace if you make the opening to tight. I also got the removal/reconfigurable dividers which are handy, but wish they were stiffer. Strong latches that are easy to open and close, and a handle that won't fall off. All you need to do is find the dimensions that work for you.

This is excellent, as all Pelican cases are. I'm using this one to nicely hold my Zoom digital recorder and its accessories. I reconfigured the GoPro foam a bit, and it resulted in an excellent fit.

Nice molded case, with nice foam lining. I carefully removed the top foam (it was hot glued in) and am using that part of the case to store the camera manual for quick reference. Very impressive product and well designed.

The Pelican Storm line of products are very well designed and constructed. The latches on the Storm version are superior to Pelican's non-Storm version for two reasons: (1) flush fit precludes snagging and unintended opening of the case (2) in order to release the latch an easily operated button located on the center of the latch must be depressed which further ensures the case will not be unintentionally opened. The case is very strong yet light in weight in proportion to it's size. Interior foam is dense yet pliable and easily customized, whether solid or pick-n-pluck. Items are stored with absolute confidence in a safe arrival after transportation. The cases have channels top and bottom with a stop front and back to allow safe, secure stacking. Small and medium cases have two strong places across the front to padlock the case and large cases have four places across the front for padlocks. I am completely satisfied with my Pelican Storm cases.

Pick and place foam is perfect, laid out go pro camera, charger, batteries, polar pro filter and all mounting hardware. It was perfect for all of this. I wish I had gotten one a tad bigger for more mounts, a handgrip and such but I wanted something portable that kept the go pro safe and organized on a chaotic dive boat atmosphere. Storm cases are superior to anything else out there. Do not get the cheap go pro version, get this case!!!!

I'm a photo enthusiast so I know very well that Adorama is a respected internet retailer. I was very surprised to see the AWESOME price they had on this item. It's a very strong case and the pick and pull foam, while a little difficult to work with if your a perfectionist (the perforations are only in 2 planes imagine long columns perforated from each other...makes depth control a little harder), once you've got it ready it's very confidence inspiring. Items are held in place very well and you feel that the case would hold up to a LOT of abuse.

I've got a Sony NEX6 with the kit lens, the 18-200 lens, and a few smaller accessories in here. Plucked the foam for a custom fit. Perfect!

You just plain can't do better than Pelican/Hardigg cases. However, I find in this size case, the iM2050 has a more easily operated latch than the Pelican 1400.

I bought this case shortly after buying an Olympus Pen E-PL1 for it's compact size and light weight. I like the outdoors and wanted a camera to capture the moment, but also needed to protect that camera in the outdoors. This case is perfect, enough size to house my camera and a few accessories. I bought it specifically to go canyoneering where water and impact would be ever present. I love the way the latches close smoothly and have a double latching system.
