She sure will turn heads

A well made product. Good workmanship. Should I loose it I'll buy it again. I'd looked for a well-made and stable yet light head for my Gitzo Series 1 tripod for more than two decades. It wasn't a priority when I was younger, however. As I get older I found myself using the Series 1 more often than the Studex which is mated with an Arcaswiss Monoball. The combination is heavy. I've used a Leica Large Ballhead on the Series 1 in those intervening years with lenses up to 400 mm but I was never too happy with it. Not stable enough. It was OK for an occasional use with shorter lenses. Now that my age started to dictate my life style and finding a better head for the Series 1 turned a priority. I looked for viable alternatives and tried several different products but they never satisfied my criteria. I chanced upon the Mini Studioball when I was surfing the Web in my quest for finding "that perfect head." I checked the specs and they were almost right on the spot. My only gripe is that I still have to figure out how to unscrew the stud to use the 3/4 end of it with the least amount of effort. I know how to do it but it requires some efforts. It's so tight I can't do it by hands and I don't want damage the 1/4 threads using a plier. That's why a star is missing. The problem should be of no concern to most people, however. An improvement I think Graf might consider making is to offer the head with a panorama base or as an accessory in the future.
