My answer to Alex's Question

I am not a photographer regardless how you define the term. My answer to your question whether or not this case would work for the SunPak 5858D is only my opinion. It works well us. I looked up the specifications on your tripod. Its folded length is 22 inches. This case is, I believe, 27 x 5 inches. So my short answer would be in the affirmative, if I am reading the numbers correctly.

tripod case

Not bad as a straying case to prevent scratches, but needs a better step if you are going to be carrying your tripod for a long distance.

very nice case

this case is perfect for carrying the tripod. It is a lightweight material, however it feels really durable.. It will be easy to clean, also.

Great Bag For Storage

By

from Petal, MS  -  Hobbyist

I purchased this bag for my wife, who has just graduated from the digital point-and-shoot to the DSLR world. She needed something to help her keep from banging up her Sunpak - PlatinumPlus 6000PG 61" Tripod. This bag does the job and does it well. However, it would be nice to have a shoulder strap.

Inexpensive but High on Quality

By

from Hamilton, NJ  -  Professional Artist

I use this to shoot product shots of my work. The tripod is rock-solid and about a foot higher than the one it replaced. This one rises to about 60". Having a free carrying case was an added bonus. The gold anodized finish makes it look quite upscale, IMHO. Adorama's service was great. The carrying case was shipped in a separate box which I received first but the UPS man didn't leave the tripod box. I emailed Adorama and received an answer in a hour that they were sent out the same day but as two separate shipments. I only paid one shipping charge. Next thing I knew the UPS man came back to deliver the box with the tripod. Way to go, Adorama!

Great little tripod for the price

I use this when I shoot real estate as a flash stand, and modify them to use with an umbrella. For the price, these are hard to beat.

Nice compact case

By

from St Louis, MO  -  professional photographer

I received this tripod bag free with the purchase of the Sunpak Tripod. I like the tripod bag for it's compact size. The tripod fits quite nicely and securely in the bag. My only complaint, I wish the tripod bag had adjustable straps.
