About Sunpak Compact DXL

The Sunpak Compact DXL Digital Camera Tripod incorporates a compact two way pan head with video indexing pin, mounted on a lift and lock center column for speedy setup and operation. The four section legs effortlessly extend by means of the quick release leg lock levers, and fold to a very compact 14.6". Metal leg braces are included for extra stability, while the center-column tension adjustment prevents expensive equipment from "free-falling". The Compact DXL supports loads up to 3.3lbs, and the impressively low weight of 24.9 oz. makes it an ideal take-anywhere tripod, small and light enough for travel and backpacking. Sunpak's Digital Pearl White finish and non-skid rubber leg tips complete the package. Suitable for compact digital, 35mm and video cameras,

This is just what we needed for our trip. It is light weight, compact and sturdy. We used it for our Nikon CoolPix100 model. This tripod even rotates for vertical and horizontal shots.
