Very usefull to keep TTL -AND- off camera usage. Unfortunately, don't works with latest e-ttl2 standart (so don't expect to use it on Canon's Digital Rebel / D. Rebel XT : they don't have 'simple TTL mode' only ettl2...thanks to Canon...) Without this (which costs the fifth star), it's well built and usefull item for flash photography (particularly to banish red eyes and create nicer lighting).
