Use with light weight camera lens combo

Good idea but needs to be used with lighter gear. Would probably work better with entry level dslr or mirrorless camera. I have a 7000 series Nikon and it doesnt hold position well with longer focal length lenses.

It fell apart in the first use

I wanted to use this to hold a shoe mount flash to trees in the park, with the purpose of taking outdoor portraits. It fell apart the moment I moved the first leg; the funny thing is, that it was the head not the leg what came apart. I never even got to touch the head of the tripod! Since it came as part of a bundle, I didn't wasted my time returning it to Adorama. It is madeout of cheap plastic, get the Gorrilla Pod instead.

Great value

The bendy tripod is versatile and supports my Sony mirrorless camera well. The phone tripod fits my Nexus 5X in a slim case. This combo is an excellent value for the price!

Very stiff joints

Not very user friendly. Joints are very stiff and hard to twist. Not nearly as flexible as the original gorilla pod.

Not strong enough for most flashes

I got this to hold up a speedlight, but even with no modifiers on the light it still tends to fall over under the weight of a single speedlight.

Really great product - works just as advertised

This tripod is stable and the grips are sturdy - I would trust it to hold up my dslr any day. That said, I wouldn't use it with a heavy and/or long lens like a 70-200 but, think about it, this product is only 10 bucks. They also do provide a max weight that it is set to support. Great for the price, and very happy with my purchase. Lightweight to travel with and ball head screws off to make it easy to fit into any bag and small enough to travel with when a full sized tripod isnt a possibility.

so disappointing

I have had this flex-pod for about 6 weeks and two of the legs have already failed. The overall design had great potential. I used it for a speedlight for off camera flash. Two of the legs have become so loose, they no longer support a speedlight or probably much of anything. I barely even used the legs to wrap around something, mostly just used it to stand on a surface. I'm very disappointed since the feet and strength of the unit should have been better.

Flex-Pod Pro is definitely not Pro, but worth it....to hold light units.

This device has really strong but flexible legs, but I wouldn't put a $1000 camera on it for any money.. the head is quite flimsy. I bought it to hold LED or flash units for some creative/convenient lighting opportunities for close up work in the field or table top studio. I've used it a couple of times and am quite satisfied for that application. Hey, it was less than $10, don't expect too much.

Save your money

I bought this because of the low price. I only paid $6.95 when it was on sale. Turns our I got what paid for. The screw holding the removable ball head mount to the tripod busted off as I was trying to unscrew (loosen) it. No big deal. It's going in the trash can. Live and learn.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

At first this mini tripod with twisting/gripping legs appeared to be a great way to secure my camera to a pole or anything else the legs could wrap around. Very handy (I thought) when you're stuck in the field without a full size pod. Unfortunately, the first day I used it ( with no camera yet attached) the tripod fell off a table (28") and broke in two! The thin plastic 'stem' that connects the 'head' to the 'quick release plate holder' SNAPPED IN HALF. I would NEVER trust this device with an expensive camera attached to it! I consider myself lucky that I'm just out the cost of the tripod and not the cost of a DSLR.

Strong and compact

The strong legs can hold onto a lot of things! Although for some the leg came out of the socket and on 1 out of the 2 I've ordered had the same issue, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix! The quick release on the top pops out by pulling on the little arm. The entire bracket twists off exposing a standard 1/4 20 thread to allow using it with your own bracket or mount it straight to camera/flash. The ball only allows to use it with light lenses on a DSLR, but I mainly bought it for off camera flash placement and it held a 430 EX and http://www.adorama.com/LTUSU.html tight.

Strong and compact

Strong, compact and on sale also cheap. I've read for some the leg came out of the socket. I've ordered 2 and one had the leg come loose, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix. The legs grip strong. The head screws off leaving a standard 1/4 20 exposed to mount your own bracket or a camera/ flash straight. The ballhead doesn't grip enough to hold a DSLR with a heavier lens straight, but I'll mainly use it for off camera flash.

Great product

Very sturdy, easy to mount camera or video camera...has a good quick release and lock down arm. Strongly built and should last very long.

An unpleasant product to use

For an average DSLR, it is a bit too small. For a P&S, it is too large to carry. The workmanship is poor, some parts are too tight, and some are too loose. The appearance and the materials have nothing to like about. The connector to the camera is very weak.

Solid little tripod

Bought the Flexpod for backpacking. Very compact and light, but durable with a solid feel. Ballhead isn't heavy duty but it works well. Minor issue, but the legs tend to be hard to manipulate. Takes some force to get the legs into position.
