Surprisingly strong

I was surprised at how well this (very cheap) bendable tripod held up my camera. It works quite well with my T2i plus Tamron 18-55 lens which is fairly heavy. I doubt it would hold a full 70-200, but it definitely holds my smaller lenses, which are generally what I'm taking on a casual trip. I woludn't call this a professional tool probably, but it's great for traveling or having fun.

Save your money

I bought this because of the low price. I only paid $6.95 when it was on sale. Turns our I got what paid for. The screw holding the removable ball head mount to the tripod busted off as I was trying to unscrew (loosen) it. No big deal. It's going in the trash can. Live and learn.

Sent with D7100?

By

I thought maybe someone could use it with a point and shoot but it was broken out of the package. I'd really like to know why Adorama — where I buy pretty much all my photo equipment — would include this piece of junk in the "kit" with a D7100. It must be some kinda' inside joke or something.

Do Not Waste Your Money

I recently bought this flexpod to carry along hikes. One of the legs broke off the third time I used it. You get what you pay for!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

By

from Boston  -  Photo Enthusiast

At first this mini tripod with twisting/gripping legs appeared to be a great way to secure my camera to a pole or anything else the legs could wrap around. Very handy (I thought) when you're stuck in the field without a full size pod. Unfortunately, the first day I used it ( with no camera yet attached) the tripod fell off a table (28") and broke in two! The thin plastic 'stem' that connects the 'head' to the 'quick release plate holder' SNAPPED IN HALF. I would NEVER trust this device with an expensive camera attached to it! I consider myself lucky that I'm just out the cost of the tripod and not the cost of a DSLR.

Strong and compact

By

from Chicago,IL  -  Semi-pro Photographer

The strong legs can hold onto a lot of things! Although for some the leg came out of the socket and on 1 out of the 2 I've ordered had the same issue, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix! The quick release on the top pops out by pulling on the little arm. The entire bracket twists off exposing a standard 1/4 20 thread to allow using it with your own bracket or mount it straight to camera/flash. The ball only allows to use it with light lenses on a DSLR, but I mainly bought it for off camera flash placement and it held a 430 EX and http://www.adorama.com/LTUSU.html tight.

Strong, compact and on sale also cheap. I've read for some the leg came out of the socket. I've ordered 2 and one had the leg come loose, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix. The legs grip strong. The head screws off leaving a standard 1/4 20 exposed to mount your own bracket or a camera/ flash straight. The ballhead doesn't grip enough to hold a DSLR with a heavier lens straight, but I'll mainly use it for off camera flash.

Great product

Very sturdy, easy to mount camera or video camera...has a good quick release and lock down arm. Strongly built and should last very long.

An unpleasant product to use

By

from Princeton, NJ  -  Photo Enthusiast

For an average DSLR, it is a bit too small. For a P&S, it is too large to carry. The workmanship is poor, some parts are too tight, and some are too loose. The appearance and the materials have nothing to like about. The connector to the camera is very weak.

Solid little tripod

By

from Orange County, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Bought the Flexpod for backpacking. Very compact and light, but durable with a solid feel. Ballhead isn't heavy duty but it works well. Minor issue, but the legs tend to be hard to manipulate. Takes some force to get the legs into position.
