Questions & Answers

KENNETH E : is this good for a dslr camera.?Michael S : This might work ok for a point and shoot, but I wouldn't suggest buying it for a DSLR. The problem is that the legs do not lock when you extend them outwards, and the weight of a camera just leads them to slowly fall further and further outwards when you put a lot of weight on it. I tried using this with a Nikon D3100 with a dual battery pack, and it just wouldn't stay still for very long. I now use it to just support small LEDs for kicker lights in small situations.JESSE D : It's a bit small for a dSLR. I've used it with mine, but it tends to slip. It works okay with a compact/large compact though.

Does What I Wanted

I have a new generation, small camcorder. I take it with me to do interviews when I travel. I can set the tripod on a table or counter and have the perfect mount. It is new, so I can't vouch for its longevity, but it looks and feels sturdy

great in a bind, easy to use.

Works well with an slr if you have a small lens. Perfect for a point and shoot camera. Really easy to use, and pretty compact. It is a little chuncky, but definately smaller than my regular tripod.
