Had to adapt an old 650 watt light to a stand and this worked great.

These are great little things for your DIY projects. I've bolted pairs of them to 48" shop fluorescents and run a c-stand arm through. The holes are spaced a little too close to have washers on everything, but you can easily make a matching backing plate with some scrap aluminum. The two-hole setup means you can run stands either way, and they're the standard 5/8" grip size. If you can't squeeze a lock washer on, loctite's your friend. And they're great screwed to wood.
