Works Very Well

Enables even lighting for taking pictures of products. You still have to adjust your lights around it depending on the product. A flash is still useful in many situations.

Low budget!

I threw this in the garbage and ordered a real one from another manufacturer.

Sweeps are 11" short.

By

from Mesa, AZ  -  Semi-pro Photographer

This is a good lightbox tent. The sweeps included are 11" short of covering the floor of the tent. The ones I received measure 27" X 45". I also ordered the extra sweeps, SKU SVBCS28, and they are also 11" short. It was noted in a review on SKU SVBCS28 from 2010 that they were short. No action has been taken by Smith-Vector or Adorama to correct this. I'd recommend the tent, but you'll have to buy extra material if you want the floor of the tent fully covered.

Fits a need

By

from New York, NY  -  Casual Photographer

Ideal for a tabletop setup being used for web product shots. Two minor quibbles: the front lip is high enough to get in the shot if you're shooting a small with a long lens. Putting the object on a plexi box resolves that issue, though I need to set up a milk white plexi stand. Second: the sweeps are held to the ten wit alligator clips that have velcro to grab the top of the box. The velcro comes off the clips when you change the sweep.

How can you beat the price?

By

from Castro Valley, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Works great for macro photography. Quick set-up that takes only a couple of minutes. I purchased the extra background sweeps which were inexpensive and worth the extra money. The light tent folds up into a 12" disk and stores into a carrying case that is included. Very light weight. Hopefully will be strong enough to last for several years.

Great value

By

from New Haven, CT  -  Pro Photographer

It is large enough for most small and medium objets. I have photographed items such as a personal flotation device, laptop case, etc. Yet it takes no space when collapsed. I wish it had a plexiglass hard floor like the Impact units, but you cannot beat the price. Fabric it easy to clean.

Greatly improves lighting on subject and reduces unwanted reflections. Worth the cost.

Great Table-Top Photography Accessory!

By

from Utah  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Works very well to provide controlled lighting for table-top photography. Folding the item up to return it to its case was a puzzle at first, but there are instructions (for various makes) on line and it was a "fun puzzle" and not all that hard to figure out.
