Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RICHARD A  I use this all the time as a hair light in portraiture. Being very light and battery powered, I can quickly mount it on a boom stand without any cables or concern for toppling over, and no counterweight or sandbag is needed. The power is just about right for this use.
Chris M  Does this unit have a tripod mounting screw? or any mounting options?
KURT M  Yes, it has a standard 1/4-20.
Jaime M  Can I use the cowboy studio transmitter to remote flash this unit?
RICHARD A  Unfortunately, no. The PG6S has an optical slave built in, but it has no external connections, so there would be no way of connecting your Cowboy receiver to it. In my experience the PG6S would not be considered a viable main light; it is very usable as a kicker, rim light or hair light (especially since it is so light that it can be mounted on a boom stand with no counterweight), and in these situations there is always at least one other strobe to trigger the optical slave.
