I compared the Phoenix 28-210mm to the Canon EF 70 - 200mm USM IS...The Phoenix blew the Canon out of the water...while shooting a sporting event, the f/6.5 wide apeture at 200mm made you feel as if you were in the middle of the action. The lens construction is SOLID and DURABLE!!! Do not waste your money on any other lens except the Phoenix 28 - 200mm.
If it's sharpness you want, this is the perfect lens for you. With its aspericalelements, this lens produces extra crisp pictures with almost no distortion. The Phoenix AS/IF 28-210mm lens also features internal focusing so that the lens doesn't rotate on the front when focusing. This is helpful when using a polarizing filter and its unique lens hood.
