It doesn't work with OLympus E-620.

I used it with my Nikon D60. It does not trigger on the pre-flash so it works the way I wanted.

I found this product very difficult to use.The instructions are very minimal, especially when there are a couple of ways to use this thing. It's manufacturing is also pretty shoddy. The plastic face was already terribly scratched even before I attempted to use this thing. I would have expected more quality from Speedotron, whose equipment I started out with many years ago.

This trigger works well with Nikon CLS. This means that it is not triggered by any communication preflashes used by Nikon system. But it triggers well when main flash occurs. I use it with old StarBlitz flash attached in environment where other flashes are SB-900 and D200 pop-up flash working in commander mode. Old StarBlitz fires right on the dot. Just remember to flip the Normal/Digital switch on the trigger to Digital position. Of course it does not convert old flash into i-TTL flash. Just triggers it.

Seriously, if you have an extra (old or new) flash and you want to give it some good usage.. get one of this! I have been using it with an old sb-24 (set on manual) on a tripod... and a sb-600 on my Nikon... and it works flawlessly!

Unit wouldn't work right out of the package. Figured the battery was the problem. Opened the back only to discover that you have to remove the top circuit board to access the battery. Flat, hearing aid type. Two wires were completely disconnected from the board and another popped off while I had the unit open. Cheap construction.

This is perfect for my needs. It sure beats the Vivitar trigger I have been using.

Easy to set up. Two switches - On/Off and Preflash/Normal. A couple of times I had to loosen and retighten the flash in the hot-shoe to get it to work. Would like for it to be slightly more sensitive for use in daylight with fill flash.

Syncs with my Oly c2100 UZ and my Nikon D200. Has switch for digital or film. While both cams are digital the Nikon works on film. Bracket uses flash shoe or 1/4 x 20 male or female. On off switch marked with tiny symbols hard to see.

This slave with a hot-shoe contact for all portable flash units has been optimized to also work with digital cameras, as ordinary slave units do not work with most digital cameras that use a very rapid series of pre-flashes, that trigger the slave prematurely. It is Sensitive up to 100' (30.4 m) away.
Working as an ordinary slave sensor, which will syncronize immediately with a master flash, the Speedotron DS-1 Digital Flash Trigger is also designed to work with digital cameras that use a pre-flash mode. This slave sensor switches from Normal Flash to Pre-Flash syncronization mode.
