Great, versatile bag. Removable insert provides more room. And the insert provides great protection.

Excellent bag, I found it a bit larger than I expected that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Perfect mid-size bag. I use it with 1 body, Mac Air, and 3 lenses plus other small items. The bag is well built and it has plenty of pockets for small items.

This bag is a good choice for a single day of shooting, running about town, a quick road trip. As long as you know what you are using it for it will do the job, and do it well. Pros: -Nice size; easily carries DSLR body with kit lens, along with an additional lens or two, maybe a spare body, flash, extra batteries, and some odds and ends. -Comfortable, padded strap. -Easy open top zippered compartment makes getting to your camera a snap. -Has an additional carry handle, very handy for when you just want to move the bag. -Very secure Velcro closure, and clip fasteners. Definitely won't spill the contents from your bag when closed and fastened. -Nice selection of small compartments for memory cards, extra batteries and such. Cons. -Not all that large, really more of a day shoot/short trip bag. Works very well when you only need to take along some essentials for walking around. Summary. As long as you know what you are buying it for, this bag is a great value.

I have a number of Tenba bags and find them to be well designed and durable. My favorite positive is that they are all generally well thought out and easy to use.

I needed a bag for my Nikon film cameras and lenses. This looked like it would fit the bill and once I got it I found out that it definitely did. It has a Nikon F4S with 50mm mounted, a Nikon 8008S body, a 35-105, 70-210, 70-300 and SB24 in it. There is still room for film, batteries, and manuals. The loaded bag weighs a ton, but I'm confident that it will hold up just fine since I have several other older Tenba bags that are still going strong. The best thing about the bag to me is that it was available in olive, I hate black camera bags!

I bought this bag to replace a Canon bag that I purchased with my first Digital Rebel ten years ago. From the reviews I expected this Tenba bag to be more capacious. It is almost exactly the same size as the Canon bag which only cost me $29.99 on sale. The specs call for the Tenba bag to be 3" longer, but side by side there is little difference. The Tenba is more accessible than the Canon, but the Canon bag has some features like tripod straps. Therefore, I recommend that a prospective buyer compare closely before purchasing.

This is really a nice bag. It is quite large, so unless you need to carry a lot of gear, you can go smaller.

I use this bag when I'm walking around and anticipate that I'll be using my camera. For example, I took it to a comic book convention in my town and it was perfect. I knew everything I needed was right by my side and that I'd be able to grab gear quickly without having to take the bag off (which is the primary weakness of my backpack). I like the overall construction of the bag and find it has ample room for my gear (right now a body and 3 lenses) plus plenty of room to grow (like another body, a flash, etc). I also find it has more pockets than I know what to do with. I only have two real complaints with the bag. One is that I wish the "cell phone" pocket was either on the other side of the bag or if each side had that pocket. This is because when I wear my bag on my right side, the pocket is behind me which makes me wary to leave anything in there. Of course, I could wear my bag on my other side (which I'll have to do if I want to use that pocket), but I'd rather not do that. The other complaint is that I wish the zippers and pockets were a little more secure. My backpack has loops at the ends of pockets where the zipper can slip in and that seems to make it harder for someone to just open up the zipper without being noticed (because the zipper would get stuck at the loop). Overall, though, I am very happy with this bag and expect to be using it for a very long time.

Lightweight
The Messenger Camera Bag weighs only 2.5 pounds with the padded photo insert included, and 1.6 pounds without the insert. This is 1 to 2 pounds lighter than most competing bags in this size.
Stealth
It doesn't look like a traditional camera bag, which is by far the most requested feature from security-conscious photographers.
Quick Access
A zipper in the top cover lets you move camera gear in and out of the bag without having to open up the front flap. This is an added security benefit because it allows a photographer to remove equipment without letting bystanders see all of the equipment inside.
Durability and Weather Resistance
The exterior is made from military-grade 1000 Denier weatherproof-coated nylon, and the interior is ripstop nylon. In addition, there is a layer of special waterproof material on the bottom of the bag for protection if the bag is put down on a wet surface. As with the current Messenger, the Camera Bag can be machine washed in cold water (and line dried) when needed.
Top Quality Hardware
YKK zippers and Duraflex clips. There is no better hardware available at any price.
Versatility and Organization
The Camera Bag can be used with the included padded photo insert for maximum protection, or the insert can be removed to make a lighter, more body-hugging bag. And there are 20 pockets and storage spaces to keep small accessories organized.
Capacity
1-2 D/SLR bodies, 3-5 lenses, flash and accessories.
The Tenba Messenger Camera Bag is classic, fast-moving, and body hugging a design preferred by the world's best photojournalists for years. Lightweight yet protective, everything within fast, easy each. Customizable interior, loads of accessory pockets, and exclusive, innovative features geared to the real-world needs of the working pro. A bag that works hard, but doesn't call attention to itself.
