A great product

An excellently built sturdy Tripod. It collapses down to an easily carryable size. The head is strong and infinitely maneuverable. At about 3 pounds it's a bit heavy but if you need a sturdy portable tripod this is it. Most versatile tripod I've ever owned frees me to get rid of 5 not as good tripods taking up room in my home.

True Travel Tripod

By

from Portland, OR  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I travel the Pacific Northwest and although I have other tripods I was looking for one that would be easy to take on long and/or steep hikes but still give me the stability required for my camera and lens. At the price I paid for this item, I felt why not give it a try. I have to admit that I was skeptical but was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed. With my Nikon and lens it worked great. As long as you remember that it has a 10 lb. load limit and do not try to use large heavy lenses, you will find this tripod to be quite capable especially at a folded length of only a little over 12" and weighing in at just 2.6 lbs. The included case is very nice as well. For the price and current performance, I could not be happier. It would be nice if it could extend further in height but then it wouldn't be as compact so I'm happy to give up some height for a tripod that I can always have with me.

Questions about this item:

mark b  Tiffen Davis & Sanford Traverse - Super Compact Tripod with Ball Head can I use my Manfrotto ball head on this tripod ??
William M  How heavy is the manfroto ball? The tripod is small and comes with a ball head I would not use anything heavier than what is supplied I bought the tripod to have something small that would be easy to take with me on trips- seems good for my needs. Manfrotto makes a similar product to the davis Sanford but different leg locks
Alojz M  Can it be transformed in to a trypod?
Andrew R  I'm not sure I understand your question, this unit is a tripod.
