Works on PCs and Macs
Works right off the box on both a Mac or a PC - no need to install any driver or software! I used it primarily to reinstall Windows XP to a hackintoshed Dell Mini 9. It's a little bit noisy when reading the disks, but nothing that you can't ignore. I took me about three hours to perform the factory reinstall, and this unit did not overheat. All in all, a VERY good investment especially for households with laptops, netbooks, Macs and PCs.
