I asked Dell for a recommendation for a kvm switch so I could use my older Dell (with the legacy software and my new Optiplex, and this is what they said. Pros: I would say it's pros are that you can easily very easily hook up multiple computers (I now add my work laptop, too). It's easy to use. Another is that it's a reasonable price. Cons: As one reviewer said, the design is awkward with the plus sticking out in all four directions so there's no easy way to hang it up, and the cords aren't that long either so I have it perched on a speaker. Also sometimes on my old computer the mouse and keyboard don't respond well unless I turn off one of the computers. and also it did make the keyboard action a bit less responsive.

Check for other brands that let's you hook up all your computers from the back of the unit and not on all four sides. Also very awkward to handle (thus me making a wooden box to manage this thing.
