It is loud when turning the disc inside and i didn't care about that, till it started doing strange things like trying to read the disc for 5 min till it starts up and then in the middle it just stalls and finally when ff chapters it takes up to 2 min to do that, and that happens for original DVDs and recorded DVDs on DVD-R and DVD+R discs of many types. Took it to service, they cleaned the lens and nothing happened later the same problem that now i am to borred to insert anything in it that it will take a while to load. The image quality for dvds is gr8, but for photo review from cards it is so bad.

• You might not have thought of it but a portable DVD player is a perfect pacifier for passengers on a long trip. Airlines have begun adding TV service to passengers. Taking kids on long and even short road trips can be frustrating. That's one of the main purposes why people buy portable DVD players. It helps children Focus their attention. That's why the Toshiba SD-P1700 includes a car cord and a rechargeable battery. It also has 2 Headphone jacks so listeners don't disturb the driver. What a thoughtful concept! Take it camping or to your local recreation area. Use it for Video or audio. It plays DVD and CD discs. It can even display images off a memory-card from your Digital-Camera. View them on a 7-inch (diagonal) Color LCD screen. 2 Internal speakers provide Stereo and 3D-surround sound. At under 6" x 8" and around 1" thin, and less than 2 pounds, the SD-P1700 is a new-age cure for lots of old and current problems. Whether you're going on family trips or just need to pass some time alone, take the SD-P1700 along with a few discs and enjoy!
