J.M.B. Solar Filter "A" for Meade ETX & Celestron G3/C90

I have a recent C90 spotting scope, and not only does the filter not fit, it will not even go on far enough to tighten the thumb screws. The filter measures 4.25 inches, and will only go on 1/16 inche, if you hold it there. The end of the scope is rubberized, and beveled. The bevel increases the diameter slightly for about 3/8 inches, then the diameter increases by another 1/16 inch. At 1 1/16 inches from the end (more beveling), the diameter of the scope is 4.44 inches (circumfernce at this point 13 15/16). In order to fit, this filter would have to be at least 1/4 inch bigger. It would have pleased me a great deal if the diameter of the filter was included in the description. There have been at least 2, of even 3 previous versions of the C90. None of this information was included in the description of the filter.
